I just wanted to post this here as the new/old version of Doom 3 has been made available. There is a lot of misinfo going around concerning the serial keys.

First, the keys are located in your Library. You must use a web browser to see them though. Go to your games library, find Doom 3, click View Downloads, More, Serial Keys. Both Doom 3 and RoE numbers will be there.

Second, you probably don't even need to look them up in the first place anyway. The offline installers automatically generate the files with the keys therein. So, the game just booted up for me without any further effort. These codes are not validated online and it has been this way since the original release.

However, if you do experience problems, there is an easy solution. Go to your installation directory (blahblahblah\DOOM 3\base) and delete doomkey and xpkey. Now, take those GOG codes and imput them both at the start of the game.

As for the online component....I couldn't say, but it seems as though you can do that without Galaxy too. I was able to see matches and whatnot available. I'm going to leave that to someone else to figure out.

You're welcome.

Sorry. Try contacting GOG Support. (I can't help other than suggesting that.)

Well, that's strange.

Since I doubt, that anyone here on the forum can help you with that issue, I'll echo tfishell's advice: contact support:

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?product=gog&form=technical

Problem type: "launching my game" (since you need the key(s) to launch the game, right?)

I checked my library and i see the same message as you .
I got Doom 3 too... no key issues here and all keys still visible on my account. I still do recommend backing up all keys offline... pretty much common sense to me.

Those affected: I think your Install is bound to a certain key, but there is no online-activation (which would create a DRM). If you lose those keys... indeed... difficult to get it back as it is certainly encrypted in your Install file.
I checked the serial keys on my Doom 3 entry, the serials are there. So it's the "key depleted" issue isn't massively widespread.

I know that's cold comfort for those with the problem though. Support should be able to help you out if, for whatever reason, you want those serials.

it won't let me play the game without them. Pretty good reason to want them. Going on 2 days of waiting for support to respond hope they get to me before the weekend.

They are not encrypted. You can go to the Doom3/base folder and look for the two files that are named "key". You can open them in notepad and see the numbers at the top yourself.
I do have the xpkey, which is the RoE expansion but my base game key file is blank.

Is it asking for a key without any key file generated? Seems huge issue because it will not help you playing this game and if there is no key generated at all... there is a new key needed, attached to the install.

I once needed my Doom 3 keys... and i was unable to "find it" in my files. Without the account entry my luck would have ended already. I can not remember it exactly anymore but it is definitely not that easy just "to look for your keys... and everything solved".

Well, but exactly BECAUSE of the account entry, IT IS that easy...IF the keys are shown there.

It ONLY becomes a problem, IF they are not shown there (and you haven't made a copy (simple txt file is suffice) of them, to put inside your install folder).

And even then, it's a problem that should be pretty easy to resolve by support.
I'm having the same issue. I contacted GOG with clear images and a explanation of the issue. GOG customer support contacted me, informed me to go to the games section in the gog site... and look for the serial key there. I told them in the initial email that i went to the site, and it says "Serial Keys Depleted".

Once again, i sent another ticket explaining the same exact thing... i hope i get the serial key soon, this is getting kind of ridiculous.
Well, for now the only ones able to maybe help is the support for those affected.

And for the future everyone should remember: Not only to backup your installer, but your keys linked to your game (if there is any key) as well... because we now know the reason why it is always good to have a backup AND why a game should have some sort of ownership.

Personally i do not enjoy the idea of using keys for DRM free games because it simply is able to cause troubles which is exactly the reason why many gamers want real DRM free. Although, only a few classic-games, at least from my game library, are affected... which is less than a dozen games. So, it is important to be aware of and checking it out on time if there are any keys.

No excuse for the GoG account failure though... i hope it can be sorted out somehow.

Besides: Sometimes, as weird as it sounds, the browser may screw up with the old fashioned GoG website. I heard, in some cases... by changing the browser or restore settings for this site... some stuff may work proper again.

Finally got an email back from Support. They have ran out of keys with no ETA when they will get more. Pretty crazy how they can still sell the game (on SALE even)
added a screenshot of the email

Yeah, you sorta have to expect there might be something lost in translation if you're describing a problem to a support team who's primary language may not be English. Always send along a screenshot of the problem - it saves time on the back-and-forth.

Well, that's not cool.
