I just noticed that Doom is now listed as DOOM (1993), could this mean Doom (2016) will appear on GOG soon?
Well, Skyrim finally arrived here, so why not. But for now, we can only guess.
thatd be great!!
also does'nt 2016 doom have the WADS for doom 1 & 2 , or was that eternal?

anyway, until then: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/108725-doom-4-vanilla-v32/

Yes, it's the clear indication that they don't want to mix Doom (1993) with Doom (2016) naming, so maybe there is going to be a surprise release soon.

It has hidden levels that are made with DOOM 1 and II levels and assets. Doom 3 is the one that came with the WADs.

I hope Doom 2016 appears here eventually, but I would not hold my breath as Bethesda was in process of unifying names of products on stores. Doom under name Doom 1996 is also on Steam. Quake: The Offering o was renamed to "Quake" quite some time before it was updated to remastered version.

I would be happy to be wrong, though.

Because clearly they're so easily to confuse with one another. "Nope, that highly pixelated one is definitely from 2016!" =P

Hopefully, if it does come here they'll just unceremoniously lop off the multiplayer part, which was highly mediocre and pretty much dead on arrival. When Bethesda decided to add that for free for everyone it about doubled the HD space/download requirement.
Star Wars Battlefront games are marked "(Classic 2004-2005)".
Battlefront 3 & 4 are coming here without denuvo & Origin?

That's very unlikely. Doom 2016 never appeared on Bethesda's own launcher either, which does not make any sense if it's not some legal or technical problem, the game being tied closely to the Steam platform for example.

But who knows? I would love to be wrong.

That is pretty strange.

Which means absolutely nothing either way since Bethesda completely gave up on that endeavor.

Now they did, yes. But we are talking about 6 years here and Doom Eternal was on their launcher, just not Doom 2016.

That would be great if true but we shouldn't get our hopes up imo.

I wish Doom 3 original would show up. I also find it odd Rage hasn't shown up yet; technical issues?

edit: wow I didn't realize Doom 2016 had over 4700 votes. Rage only has 1640, so I understand D2016 being a higher priority (though I still hope Rage shows up, and certainly D3 ori most of all).

That would be pretty neat. I am a little skeptical, however, since we were told we would get Dawn of War half past forever ago and we have breathlessly anticipated every time a new thing happens on GOG that, "Maybe this is it, finally!"

And yet for years the industry has been happy with reusing old names without care for confusion.
