Leave it in Big Fall Sale Clearinghouse Thread, give to a random person or whatever.. Just do not make this forum even more messy than it is now, will you?

I know sticky won't help at all, perhaps gog web team could make a big red banner or something?

CAN YOU HEAR ME?

Thank you!

Have you tried kicking it? ; )

Tauto: I think that a person has a right to donate a game\code to the forum without being harassed by the forum. As the person is generous in the first place,I'm sure a simple THANKYOU is all they want in the end result. As for scammers claiming them then so be it as long as they at least say THANKYOU.
That's kind of the point of scammers though.. they don't say thank you, and they take all the codes that could go to people who, you know, actually participate in the community here and deserve them.
*shrugs*
Just a thought.

Tauto: I understand your point, but in all honesty the donor doesn't care as long as they make someone happy.
It depends. Someone randomly dropping codes in the forum probably doesn't care, and if the scammers kept to hoovering those up that would be bad enough. But it's when they then go on to use multiple accounts to enter giveaways and circumvent the rules of the giveaways so they can trade or sell on the keys (which is usually against the rules of the giveaways too). I doubt the donors are happy then.

Tauto: Yes,your right. Then Gog should control all giveaways and that would put a stop to that.
But GoG are never going to, short of banning gifts (which would be ridiculous and bad for business) there's no way they would intervene like that. They don't even have the resources to properly maintain the forum, why would they put effort into creating a giveaway system or policing the giveaways on the forum?

So we have to do it. The best we can with the tools available to us. And if that means stopping random drops to keep scammers away, and warning people when alt accounts are trying to hoover up the prizes in a giveaway, so be it.

Okay,we agree to disagree:)
Huh. Must be some kind of reverse psychology.

No.I can be a pleasant person sometimes, but I must admit some people can bring out my bad side very easily.

+1

It's sad that some people take codes without a little thank-you. But the hostility towards code-droppers is just as bad.

Correct, and that's not very encouraging for new comers or rare visitors.
