Yay, error in the title

No Steamworks on GOG, too small market, not worth it. Seems like the translations are also shit like usual with Croteam.

"As far as I know, GOG doesn't support Steamworks games, so that is probably a no."

"Well, you got it wrong way around - GOG doesn't support the infrastructure that game developers need to ship more advanced games (i.e. if you have achievements, leaderboards, multiplayer (that's not an issue for Talos, but is for Serious Sam), ship updates frequently...).
:)"

"Also, if GoG supported Steam keys, they would be selling Talos now. But as the situation is now, even if they had the API comparable to Steam, it wouldn't be worth the development time, since their market share is much lower. Shrug."

"It would require maintaining two separate versions, and for just a small fraction of the market."

Awww, I was kkinda hoping to see it on GOG.

Also, I don't think most people here care too much about anything steamworks would add to the game.
Sadly that attitude is too common. The devs behind Zeno Clash and Broforce said the exact same thing. And the worst part is, a DRM-free version would have been vendor agnostic, but so many devs and publishers seems to think all PC games need achievements and leaderboards. :(
I was hoping (eagerly) that SS3 would come here. Now that I know it's not - I'm just gonna get my DRM-free copy from TPB .
I wasn't expecting it. After all, the other Serious Sam games are still not here.

Valve have found a clever way of getting exclusivity. Convince enough dumb kids that trophies, cards and bullshit are more important than the games themselves and no indie will want to be without these things.

We have the first two...
Expected but disappointing.

This is how you create monopolies.

Yet, no 2, no 3, or any of those indie Serious Sam games.

Croteam translation of Serious Sam 3 is just horrible.

Yeah sure, that'll help GOG attract new games and new publishers.
Reported.

If people pirate games that aren't on GOG, then it would make sense for publishers to put their games on GOG. Logic is fucking hard, ain't it ?

Or increase the call for always-online DRM.

Which obviously doesn't work, since games with always-online DRM get pirated...
