It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Arundir: Well I can't download any offline installer also. I tried 5 random games.

Nothing happens, then the message "connection timed out" comes up.

nightcraw1er.488: Might be a temporary issue. What browser have you cleared cache and cookies? I use Firefox and set clear cache and cookies on exit, it saves 75% f browser issues.
I tried Firefox and Waterfox, both came up with the "connection timeoutt" message. I do nout use Wastefox regulary, might as well been I logged in the first time using Waterfox.

Odd, I have just started a random download on the iPad and it went straight through. Are other websites working? Could be you are having an issue?

Yeah, something similar here.
Tried to download the offline installers of:
-Grim Fandango Remastered
-Janosik

And both took like 90seconds to start downloading... the download speed for Grim Fandango is very slow.
Last night I downloaded Janosik (90mb) and other small games without problems so the fault its not my webbrowser or anything on my side.

How do I raise a ticket? After spending some time reading posts on the forum I am interested to test first hand the timely response of the support team...

Ice_Mage:
Thank you Ice_Mage. I just raised the ticket to my downloading problem and also mentioned this thread.
I'll repost here any news when received
I just tested the download of the same installers as yesterday. It is working again. The downloads are starting fast with decent download speed.

Everything is fine again.
I think the most likely explanation is that there was a problem with a specific server in Gog's CDN. It would explain why the issue couldn't be reproduced by other customers.
According to Arundir's reply above the issue appears to have been fixed a few hours ago.
I couldn't download anything yesterday. Galaxy either hung at showing the install dialogue, or after clicking install. Offline installers, no deal either. I suspect a problem with the internet/CDN, have all people with problems been from Germany/Europe?

Gomba: Second, the mod support for gog games pales in contrast to Steams workshops. For moddable games, this means that it's either nexusmods for GOG Games or nothing at all.

Today - I've finally had enough. I got a game that was on sale via the gog newsletter coupon. Here's the thing: I can't download the game. GOG Galaxy only responds with "Server Problems" - the Offline installer files are all dead links.

AB2012: The mod problem is on Steam not GOG. 3rd party community mods should remain open and available to anyone regardless of where they bought the game as they've always been, not locked behind a Steam client only to foster an extremely unhealthy "everything everywhere must be locked into Steam" sense of entitlement amongst lazier PC gamers. GOG not doubling down on the "mod tribalism" and recommending you download from Nexus / Moddb, etc, is actually a good thing even though it often involves the exhausting effort of... unzipping a zip file (which no-one had any problem with before Steam Workshop existed...)
Agreed 100%. Steam Workshop is the single worst thing to happen to the modding community. In my mind, it's worse than Bethesda charging for horse armour.

I encountered this issue several times before.
GOG usually fix it within 24 hours after I open a ticket for it.

Wasn't Beth behind the idea of paid mods (through Steam workshop too), where they would get the bulk of the money (because, their game) and the modder just some change?

Don’t know, wasn’t HL source also part of the decision?
Anyways, beths have now gone full on we own it all with creation club.

We are sorry to hear you are encountering these issues. :(
There was a problem with the downloads, but it has been fixed. However, if you still can't download your games, please contact our support, so they can help you. Also for the future, please open a ticket if you have an issue, it is more likely that you will get help than if you write a forum post because those can get buried quickly.

I've opened a ticket before posting on the forums and waited several hours. There still is no answer on the ticket #1085139 to this day.
So for the future - perhaps assume that people come to the forum because nobody responds to their ticket.

I opened up another ticket today and someone finally responded. They completely ignored my request for a refund and told me to go bug hunting for them, gather logs, replicate errors before they do anything else.

@SmollestLight: I don't want apologies or sad smileys. I want my money back. What else should I do? Beg on my knees, spent the weekend searching for your server issue bugs? What else? If you truly feel sorry, get the support staff to process my refund. I've been a customer since 2014. Complying with their own 30-Day Money Back Guarantee so that I can be done with this shameful display of technical and customer support would be the right thing to do if you truly feel sorry. After that, I will never buy a game on GOG again.

On the other hand, it took you over 5 (FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) hours to reply to the above message. Why didn't you respond right away, but decided to wait that long? What is wrong with you? Do you enjoy keeping people waiting?
