i said that the game implied that dogmeat was the dog from mad max 2

and that the dogmeat from fallout 3 looks more like a german shepherd

I had indeed misread the question. But still, given that you do all the hunting and grabbing while the cat manages the finances and the social interactions, this is still a matter of debate.

Also, I still haven't checked who's in charge in Hot Tin Roof.

Not to mention that I doubt there would even be dog races, in a post-apocalytic world. Races require careful human management and engineering, to be maintained.
