I just downloaded Pillars of Eternity. I have 21mb/2.2mb speeds on my latest speed test, yet the download took something like 8 hrs, only reaching about 1.8mb/s. So I am sure I have something to fix.
But anyway, I tried to install the game now that it downloaded, and it failed. The installer suggested I run a file integrity check.
So I switched that setting on, and it has been "Checking File Integrity" for about 2.5 hrs now. I already know I have some bad file since it would not install the first time. I am just wondering if it is worth waiting for the file integrity check, or should I just cancel it and start the download process all over?
Basically, I am wondering if the file integrity check will just confirm what I already know (corrupted file), or is it attempting to fix it by re-downloading the corrupted file? I would hope it is trying to fix things, since it is taking so long, but I don;t know.
I just want to confirm, because this is taking way too long at this point.
