LordTalbot: Would you pay a little extra for proper box and some artwork with the DRM free game in the case?
60€ extra if the game is good and has a proper manual. Still mostly buy physical PC games which has become a problem ever since moving into the city. Space is limited and now my basement is starting to fill up with physical games, books etc.

Why would I? My basement filling up is not a negative, as otherwise it would be empty.
Like many others voiced, digital has too many perks now. But I do miss reading manuals in bed and box art.

MysterD: Nothing like sticking a game in the disc drive and being all ready to play.

Of course, these days - straight-up downloading installer files from GOG via a web browser; or downloading games from clients like Galaxy, Uplay / UbiSoft Connect, Steam, etc etc is so much more convenient. Don't have to get out the house and don't have to go to the store - just click a few buttons on the game-page on web browser or on the client; feed it your Credit Card or Paypal, and get downloading.

Wait for the download to end, as I'm likely watching another TV show while waiting; or playing a game on one of my other PC's I got lingering around.

Orkhepaj: or just use a streamer service and you only need to log in
That certainly won't be cheap, once data caps get instituted by my ISP in a few months. So, no - I likely won't be doing that, especially when I've got a VERY capable gaming PC.

If I would do that, it would be w/ GeForce Now, when I'm out and about - i.e. not home.

I think when I'm home and all - my i7 10700KF; 16 GB RAM; and RTX 3070 can handle most games pretty well.

Curious about the cost of that.

On topic: no, can't say that I do.

Huh, and here I thought it would've been a lot more.
Enjoy :)
The GPU alone is well over 2000 USD where I'm at.

I bought it from CyberPower PC and had they customize the build (to my wants/needs/selections), back around Black Friday 2020.

Awesome build - it smokes everything at 1080p; maxed out games at normally their Highest settings w/ RTX on.

Most games are in the 60fps to 200fps range. Again, depends per game.
do you like digital books over physical paper (the real deal)?
digital are way less cost but, harder on the eyes.
and the computer can read them to you with audio.

do you miss playing games at a local arcade??
or
do you prefer playing games on a computer or a dedicated game consule like xbox?

I loved the arcades and I still support some of the local arcades that still exist near me. The same friends I met in the 80's in the arcade, I'm still great friends with. We godparents to each other's kids :) Shoot, I met my wife in the arcades.

The best part of the arcades was the the local monthly events from fighting games to racing game tournaments. Those died out in the early 2000's in my area,

Computer gaming is god-like but the arcades are the titans of old.

with my kindle ebook reader digital is just way better than normal printed books
easier to read as there are no missprinted labels + you can set the brightness, fonttype and size to your liking
the best is it is lighter so easier to hold for longer time , if you drop it , the page will be where you left
and it can hold hundreds of books

only the book smell is missing
Hellyes i miss ripping the plastic off with my teeth, smell that case kiss it cherish it and read the physical manual more like look at the cool pictures of it ((If theres a little manual thingy inside)) Then omg the cd...the feel of it on my fingers before i insert it deep into the device ;) lol
I forgot to mention what i didnot like about physical copies.
how some of my games and music CD's mysteriously disappeard!?! Hmmmm...strange

Linko64: Plus, I like the way they look on the ol shelf
Nice one. I see the Return to Castle Wolfenstein - Collector's Tin version. That was one of my latest additions :P
