I played a PC RPG demo in the 90s, and I never wrote down the name of the game. I've been wondering about it, and its likely someone in GOG might know it.
It was in the style of Planescape Torment, Arcanum, Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader, Baldur's Gate. Similar isometric, over the top view, fantasy/medieval magic/steampunk style. The demo started in a city area with waterfalls. The game had a day/night system that progressed in minutes. I remember speaking to a cat(?) vendor/seller in a bazaar.
The only other thing I remember is being defeated by guards, which I think were dressed in red, and getting a game over screen, a black screen with the guard's face asking something like "did it hurt?". Not classy.
That's pretty much all the details I can think of, but I'm hoping someone knows the name of the game just to check it out. Could be it's actually fairly well known and I just don't know its the same game.
Thanks.
