Does America have Human rights?
Because I've been reading through them and it seems like America infringes on quite a few Human rights...

Current Human right violations:
Article: 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 25, 26
(some have been cut out if I couldn't find any sources to back it up)


Now explained:
4) American prisoners are modern slaves
5) GITMO
8) Not if its a state secret (GITMO)
9) GITMO
10) People who were send to GITMO never got a trial
11) Again, GITMO.
12) Mass Surveilance in America
25) Social Security, they have that in America?
26) Education is not free in America.

America breaks 9/30 human right laws, that's a lot!
So, can they do this because human rights is not law in America?

Sorry, just saw what GITMO stands for.

While some of those issues are certainly eye-opening to say the least, I'd be surprised if there is any nation state that hasn't infringed on human rights laws in one way or another.

The truth is that sometimes things are simply overlooked, or required to be contravened for matters of national importance or security and let's be honest, how easy is it to actually police human rights violations on the international stage? Sanctions seldom seem to make governments back down.

Well, in order to infringe human rights, you first must have human rights, right?

So yes, that indicates that America has human rights that it then infringes here and there. Simple logic. That is like asking whether a wife-beater has a wife. Of course he does, that's the whole point of being a wife-beater!

What if he's beating other people's wives? Is he still a wife-beater then?

GITMO is a abhorrent act, that exists due to a number of loopholes.

As far as I am aware its not on American soil, which has given them a degree of leeway to avoid their own laws.

While I have sympathies for governments attempting to fight a new type of enemy that can work independent to nation states and can not be tackled in a traditional method, what the US and UK governments have done is not acceptable.

Education is free in america, there are state run and funded schools

As much as we have in Europe.

But if it happens, at least we can sue our governments if they breaks human right violations.
But even if they break a few, America breaks 9/30 of those laws!

Well it definitely has more human rights than ISIS.

No functioning goverment = no goverment spying on you.

Belgium for example.
And a lot of other European countries because mass surveillance is illegal there.
Granted some European countries still have mass surveillance but its illegal.
