I was having a conversation with my friend and he was talking about someday (still this year) return to The Witcher 3 and start all over again from the beginning and that's something that i can't do, dunno, i feel like the story was told and i don't feel like starting from lvl 0 when i already had this high level character with really good equipment, even if it's a game that i really liked. Not to say that it requires a large amount of time and i have other stuff to play...

But if it's something that i played a long time ago and i don't remember some of the stuff then i don't mind.

So, does anyone feel the same?
What does constitute a "long" game?

Well, let's say +30 hours (more with with side quests).

And i'm not counting with The Witcher 2, it has replay value since you get a different place/quest/story depending of who do you pick to follow.

Then yes, I do.
Sometimes.

I don't have any hard numbers in front of me, but I think Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines' average first playthrough time is around twenty hours and I'm close to having ten complete playthroughs of it, and several (varying in length) abandoned playthroughs.

May i ask whats the motivation in your case? Relive the story? Gameplay? Loot (arpg)?
If I enjoyed it a lot the first time, and there's something else to do, then yeah.
Only if it was a good old game from long ago when I was young and forgottten much of the gameplay. Other than that, I don't have the time for that.
yeah I don't. the better it is the harder the time I have replaying it. I still haven't replayed Jade Empire. I've played KOTOR twice but remember little from the second time. Never finish my second KOTOR 2 playthrough.

I don't understand how people can just start again right after they've beaten it.

Story. And occasionally engaging gameplay. Fuck loot.
It depends how drastically you can affect the story. If it's something like fallout with multiple different endings then yes. But if it's just replaying it to get the slightly different endings then no.
Sometimes. I remember playing through Dragon Age: Origins with drastically different characters to see how events could play out differently. That was a lot of fun.

Yeah, that's how I feel about almost any game, especially those with a story. Many offer replayability by changing parts of the story or gameplay for different characters or different decisions, but I haven't seen a lot of games where the difference is really big enough to make up for all the repetition. It still feels the same to me for the most time. I prefer to make the most of a single playthrough and then move on to new games.

I don't. Once I've levelled up a character I can't go back, even if it's to try a different build. I tend to grind a lot in rpgs so I can become as close to god-like as possible. Returning to a place where an insect bite can cause fatal damage is too much of a chore.
