Matewis: I would love to have a proper TV one day, but I'm going to have to be sneaky about it. Round here you still have to get and pay for TV license if you own a TV. It's not a lot of money, but I don't want to pay those idiots at the national broadcaster a single cent :P
It's worse in Denmark - here, you have to pay for TV license if you have internet!
Can we expand this to include TV shows because I don't really watch series.

What's the difference between a show and a series?
I liked Lars von Triers hospital-horror series Riget, and Bornedahls Charlot og Charlotte. But other than that, I don't care much for danish TV shows.

Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23 - naive country girl meet insane and selfish city girl. A bit more crazy than your average sit-com. Lots of adult (infantile) humor.
Archer - Animated James Bond Parody.
Psych - about a psychic medium who uses his gift to solve murders for the police. Only, he's a fake. Very good crime comedy.

I didn't have the intellect to understand Serial Experiments Lain or Boogiepop Phantom. But I liked the anime serial Paranoia Agent which is a really ambitious and anarchistic horror-mystery-brainfart. Each episode tries out some new ideas, so it don't have that mass-produced feel which most series have. Like Twin Peaks, the supernatural elements and the shows overall feel really goes well together.

"Den mistenkte" is another fantastic Danish TV series.

Wow, based on the wiki entry it seems that you would even have to pay for a TV license on mobile phones that are capable of receiving TV signals. Dang...
Still, the problem here is the abysmal condition and piss poor programming of the sabc (our national broadcaster), and the fact that I don't want a single cent of my money going towards the salary of the government stooge planted as acting COO of the sabc. Have a listen at his brilliant argument in favour of regulating the media (that mercilessly report on state corruption) https://youtu.be/gHP6ccaR4e8?t=491

I liked Archer better when it was Frisky Dingo to be honest...

After long deliberation, I believe I have identified the best TV show in existence, and it's . And even if a case could be made that there's a better show out there, it would still be totally hopeless to argue that any show out there has funnier [url=https://youtu.be/l84-zmOs_kM?t=824]bloopers.

Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.
The Expanse.
Show = Price is Right, Pawn Stars, Unusual Suspect, The Crocodile Hunter (before he died). No continuity or story line.

Series = 24, Friends, Dr Who, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead. Miss an episode and you're fucked trying to figure out what is going on. XD
