This is the same guy who when asked to fill out a survey for a dating site replied to the question "What do you like in a woman?" with the answer, "My dick."
He's spying on me !

Cormoran: GOG is probably not the best place to look for under 30's :P.
Yeah, maybe not, but it IS the only gaming-themed forum I visit that is predominantly MALE! XD
Done :3
I haven't played many games that I would call emotional. But maybe these two:
PORTAL -- I think it's way poetic!
BLACKOUT -- Danish game from 1997 where you play a split-personality killer. Really artsy and down-to-earth. Description here: http://bittersweet-enmi.blogspot.com/2012/08/blackout.html

Any suggestions on which games have highest emo-value?
Sorry to butt in here with OT, but to this day I tend to get genuinely upset when I lose an NPC in a game. Diablo 2 comes to mind but there are others. It sounds stupid but I really do feel bad even when it isn't my fault, almost like I failed them. Am I the only one here that does?
Completed.

Must say that there my problem with this project, is that every game made is emotional is some aspect.

I'd say that's going to be a popular answer based on gogs perceived demographic grandad ;)

I don't think that the concept "emotional game" is particularly useful, though. Pretty much all games evoke emotions in me in one form or another. If they'd leave me cold, I probably wouldn't play them.

Also, there was this weird question where I had to decide, categorically, whether I'd play a "good" or "evil" character. I have no preference and in fact I prefer games in which clear-cut "good/evil" categories don't even exist. Yet I am required to give an answer, so I tossed a coin.

My mercs in Diablo 2 die way too often for me to care even the tiniest little bit but I did get strangely attached to the first random wolf I charmed as a summoner in NOX, ended up dragging the poor animal literally through half the game. Quick loaded whenever the wolf died, the hardest pats were trying to maneuver it through dungeon traps but for some reason I just couldn't allow myself to let the wolf die for as long as possible.
Maybe it's because I had a dog that lived for 17 years which is quite a long time creating strong bonds and now anything with four legs and fur makes me want to protect and befriend it.

Maybe it's possible to actually finish the whole game with the first wolf you can charm but such tasks are too OCD for me. Even heard of people who claim to have finished Diablo 2 naked (meaning no gear, not yourself being naked) and to me that just seems like a completely nonsensical thing to do, even playing mikado or dominoes makes more sense than that.

I spent half an hour trying to figure out a way to save the companion cube from incineration in "Portal". It's a frigging metal cube with silly pink hearts painted on the sides and it never does anything, ever. But since it was introduced as my "companion" for that level, I felt compelled to save it.

So no, you're not the only one. ;)
