I mean a list where you write down devs and publishers you refuse to buy from for one reason or another? I am thinking of starting one, and would like some ideas.

No, I don't blacklist companies. I am, however, suspicious of companies that have a habit of leaving their games outdated here.

I have a shitlist and a bestdevs list. Started it recently to keep track of the good and bad devs so it's easier to refer or to ignore new titles etc.

no, as a developer can make both good and bad games. I like good games.

Enjoying the original here, and in Ultrawide at that. Not "missing" out on a single thing especially if content has been removed in the "enhanced" version and the game is DRM'd up to the eyeballs ("Requires Battle.net DRM and a constant internet connection for all game modes"). LOL, that's no "enhancement" at all, quite the opposite...

Thanks, I will!

edit: re: op:

I don't save naughty lists, but I do look up the developer(s) and important people involved. For example, the programmer/designer for Skald: Against the Black Priory is a Norwegian retro gamer and long-distance runner (awesome!!!), but the writer is this anglo creature (not awesome). When a developer does something atrocious that's worth remembering long-term (e.g. Spooky Doorway nominated a male sex offender for a "women in gaming, best debut" award and he won), I just remember it.

EA, Activision-Blizzard and Ubisoft are companies that I would feel guilty giving money to. Fortunately, they haven't made a game I even remotely want to play in years, so that's a non issue.

I would buy Might & Magic X if it was available here on GOG, tho. So maybe I'm being a hypocrite.

Ubisoft.....

most certainly Ubisoft.....

I had them off the list for about a year ( so i could tryout anno 2207, AC Odysseus, For Honor and that Clancy division thing) but now they are back on it

Creative Assembly is on it to atm

Oh, yea and Iceberg of course

Funny list. Blizzard hasn't actually released any new PC games for sale since 2003. So a very low bar. And Riot has literally never sold any.

But to OP, it's per-product for the most part. But I notice names, like when tinyBuild had its rubbish period (since cleaned up). Of course, when companies don't make any products to get, it's like they blacklist themselves. *glares at EA and still wonders why they made those godawful decisions with the C&C Remaster not being on GOG*

On the flip side (still not an explicit list), I definitely notice when a gamesmaker consistently does good stuff (like 10tons does)

yeah
these 2 companies are way over the acceptable line, so I can't see them produce anything good in the future, EA isnt on the list because it could actually make something good like that jedi game

Diablo 2 was well before those, and Starcraft 2 isn't a PC game available for purchase. (It's an always online service you pay a one-time subscription for.)

EDIT: for your edit. Diablo 3 is also an always online service with a one-time perpetual [revokable] subscription fee. It's not a game, but an online service with the trappings of a game. At least on PC.
