I remember the NES being a sparkly new thang that one of my friends at school had. Does that make me old? :-P

I remember pre-ordering a SNES ;-)
I remember playing a text based Star Trek game in the 80's in high school.

Crosmando: Yeah time seems to pass so incredibly fast for me. I remember Alien Isolation when it launched on Steam like it was last week. I'm 35 and it doesn't seem like it was so long ago that I was in my 20's. Seriously scary.
Wait til you wake up and realize your 30s are all gone, the "prime of your life," and you can barely remember what you did with them.
Every morning when I wake up and everything creaks.

Every time I give myself a sports-type injury just from reading too much in one sitting.

Yes, entirely too much.

Darvond: 2014, cute. When I was born, DOOM had yet to come out. I'm older than DOOM.
I'm older than CGA! [Barely, but.]

Oooh, ooh. Here's one. I'm older than the formal collapse of the USSR. (Barely.)

I'm older than the first commercially available video game ever (Computer Space) --- and not even barely.
I had an 8 track alarm clock as a kid.

Must've been a great 10 year long party! ;-)

This year I plan to catch up on games that I can't play (how I want to) on my graphics card (GTX970) from 2017. I'm buying a 3060TI in September, then play The Witcher 3 (2015).
7 years fly by, while it felt like an eternity when growing up.

Yes, I do, because they aren't making CD/DVD vased games anymore and for some reason, people are FINE with that.
Just reading the title of this thread makes me feel old.
That and celebrating my third 21st birthday a few days ago.

It doesn't seem that long ago that we were amazed we were about to creep into a new millennium ... now here we are 22 years later.

Dog I feel old.

Though really I am still a kid at heart.

Someone should make a "flash memory killed optical media" song taped over "video killed the radio star" :P.
Yes.

Yep. I wish they would make a come back.

Also yes, as I've been asked what's this by a modern teenager over a VCR and a Cassette Player, and know them both.
What really makes me feel old are the ever-changing slang terms "kids" use these days. Definitely feel like the guy behind that counter, and I just keep thinking what the hell all that nonsense lingo is about. Speak English, damn it!
