Wondering how often people go out of their way to purchase from somewhere else because of bad pricing in their region.
In my case, physical console games get some really bad taxes on top of them here in my country because of some antiquated tax code, but the same antiquated code doesn't tax digital purchases at all. As you might expect, the digital stores, even though they pay no tax on their product at all, pair their price with the physical release, they pocket the difference and we can get fucked.
As a result, I just bought a $60 US PSN gift card from Amazon to purchase FF15. Even though the dollar has gone up in the past month, it still ends up being about 20% cheaper than buying it at the local PSN.
