Considering the size of universe, there's a big chance lifeforms exist other than on this planet.

Wether they can visit us is another matter.

Current estimates put the number of stars in our universe at 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

We're not alone, I'm pretty sure.

Well, I could say prove me wrong and you'd boomerang that back, so let's just assume there are more galaxies than our lone Milky Way.

I'm almost sure there is some life out there somewhere. Maybe even intelligent. I'm not sure what's more likely - that it would be something more or less recognisable to us, or something so utterly alien we might never be able to make any contact or even recognise each other as intelligent life.

But do I belive that aliens come to Earth to abduct cows and probe Uranus? I kinda doubt that if there is an intelligent, space travelling race out there that would be what they'd choose to do with their time.

Would be an awful waste of space otherwise and so on ;)

No need to assume, that's pretty well established. It's just that your chocie of word "neverending" is quite possibly wrong, and definately unclear. Do you mean infinite size or that it will exist without end? Even in terms of size it's inaccurate, as while it may have no boundries it can still have a finite size, even if it keeps expanding (like a surface of a baloon being inflated).

There are more galaxies than our milky way, that doesn't make it infite.

Back OT. For me it doesn't need to be infinite to be too big for people to comprehend. :P Just thinking about the stuff we can see and do know exist makes my head explode.

I saw a thing on Discovery the other night about a star they found surrounded by a ring of several BILLION comets all several hundred times the size of earth. Several billion, several hundred times the size of earth! That's just ONE RING AROUND ONE STAR! XD

I believe there must be aliens somewhere in the universe. As to whether they're "among us" - it's possible, but no conclusive evidence that I know of.

No need to look far for things that blow my mind. On Jupiter there is a storm that has been going on for approximately 350 years and is bigger than the Earth. Three and a half centuries of a single storm larger than our whole planet, it's like something out of a bizarre sci-fantasy novel or something.
