I found a 2018 thread on this, but not wanting to necro...

... do you believe in aliens and alien visitation?
I keep an open mind on it. I find most of the claims about abductions, close encounters with aliens etc. hard to credit. And of course the distances in space are so incredibly vast that interstellar space travel might be completely impossible. But on the other hand, the Ufo phenomenon seems to be real, and nobody really knows what these things are, and explanations like "secret military tech projects" aren't all that convincing either imo. I don't think one can totallly exclude the possibility that it's extraterrestrials. Personally I hope they aren't, because any species capable of space travel would be technologically so advanced that humanity doesn't have the slightest chance, if they've got hostile intentions.

As long as they call first.
Monday to Friday between 11AM and 4PM only. And they have to fill in form A14-B, sign it and file it at the visitations office in triplicate, with an enclosed proof of bearing rights of visitation (issued by a public notary) and a $10 legal stamp.

I regularly leave them offerings on a windowsill, but the only visitors I get are birds, cats and squirrels. I'm really disappointed by their failure to show up.
The Hitchhiker's Trilogy (of 5 books) revealed the motivation for alien visitation.

“Teasers are usually rich kids with nothing to do. They cruise around looking for planets that haven’t made interstellar contact yet and buzz them.” “Buzz them?” Arthur began to feel that Ford was enjoying making life difficult for him. “Yeah,” said Ford, “they buzz them. They find some isolated spot with very few people around, then land right by some poor unsuspecting soul whom no one’s ever going to believe and then strut up and down in front of him wearing silly antennas on their head and making beep beep noises.”
Douglas Adams has a point though. It is remarkable that with everyone carrying camera capable devices in their pockets, nobody ever captures believable footage.

There are numerous accounts of UFO activity above or adjacent to nuclear test sites... so much so, that it's been theorized that activity was in direct relation to specific nuclear tests...

... but with the speed of light energy...

... UFO activity as a response to that release of energy would have to have meant that UFO's would have to have been VERY close to Earth, or here already.

I would not say that I'm a believer in alien visitation, but I certainly believe intelligent alien life exists "out there" and there is a possibility it has been to Earth. But as I look more into the phenomenon, I tend more toward the possibility of dimensional beings of terrestrial origin (or very close proximity to Earth).

As for intentions...

... I have theories, but...

I'd worry more about humans.

In 1917, John Dewey publicly stated...

"Someone remarked that the best way to unite all the nations on this globe would be an attack from some other planet. In the face of such an alien enemy, people would respond with a sense of their unity of interest and purpose."

In 1987 Ronald Reagan publicly stated...

"In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. And yet I ask, is not an alien force already among us? What could be more alien to the universal aspirations of our peoples than war and the threat of war?"

There are innumerable public statements in the last 100 years of people suggesting alien invasion as a way to bring society together (or to re-order it?). Project Blue Beam is interesting place to start.
Could aliens be skulking about, avoiding our detection? Yeah. Could they be controlling us from the top? Sure. Is it likely? Nah, but who knows, they could be the gods of old and we wouldn't know.
It makes a good science fiction story, but in real life is practically speaking impossible.

Even if there somehow was life elsewhere in the galaxy, that life not only needed to exist, and have some technology to do interstellar travel, but also happen live in the same time as we do.
If they passed through this solar system 100.000 years ago, we wouldn't know about it, if they come 100.000 years from now, we may not be around to see it.

So the likelihood that
1) life exists in several places in this galaxy
2) that alien life is intelligent enough to travel in space
3) those beings would live in the same timeframe as we do
4) out of all those millions of places to go to, they would choose to come here
is practically speaking zero.

Whatever slim theoretical chances there are to all that, is quite well challenged by the Fermi paradox.

Anyway, it's good and entertaining science fiction.

I've read about things like that, and there are also claims that during UFO sightings nuclear missile systems in both the US and the Soviet Union/Russia shut down for unexplainable reasons. Which obviously raises disturbing questions, if true.
But really hard to know what to make of this. There were those revelations by the US navy some time ago about Ufo sightings, and tbh I found it somewhat disturbing, because it seems like nobody knows what these things are, just that they exist (unless it's all some kind of disinformation campaign). I try not to think about it much, because there's no point for a scientifically illiterate layman like me, when even the experts have got no clue.
Obviously...

Or "we" might have known for a number of years.

I can't help but post this as a joke... but was he joking?

There are a number of disinformation campaigns running. That is certain.

I used to work for an organization that housed Project Blue Book. I did NOT work on Blue Book (and the only person I ever knew to request the documents was fired directly after the request) and I am separated from that organization, but I do know a number of people there who believe in aliens and in fact believe we have made contact (and possibly alliances). Yet officially they will never claim such.

Again, I am not particularly a "believer," but I am certainly willing to entertain the possibility... and think there are "multiple levels" to the phenomenon. Reptilians...

What would be the point for aliens capable of space travel in making an alliance with humanity, or even just a specific fraction of humanity? What could they possibly get out of it?
But anyway, unless some new information becomes public, we can't do more than engage in idle speculation.

Nope. There is no such thing as 'aliens,' planets, outer space, space travel, or any of that other kind of Satanic nonsense which the MSM, Hollywood, and the government are always pushing.

There are demons who can fly in the sky, but that is a different thing altogether from "aliens."

They probably will pull an alien hoax in the coming years, though, with demons playing the role of alien characters.

I've been working on some science fiction speculation bullshit and came to the conclusion that if aliens wanted something, they'd just take it. Our militaries would be crippled badly if there was open warfare.
