toxicTom: The important thing is, and returning to games, while "demonizing nazis" hides hides the everyday banality of the evil that happened, backed up by intellectuals with fancy ideas of "Übermenschen" and master races, games like Wolfenstein are important to show that people are not fine with those ideologies. That we revere people who stand up and fight against them.
It's not zombies who can't help themselves, it's not alien who simply don't care, it's deeply wrong and misguided humans, our own kind, who can be our worst enemy. And we're not fine with it. The Wolfenstein nazis are a symbol of that.

If that ever gets old, we're lost.
Yeah, Nazism is really quite romantic (as in Romanticism as a historical period) ideology, with all irrational elements of that period. That being said, as much as I personally despise Nazis and everything they stood for, I can't help but feel as if new Wolfenstein games glorify torture and killing of them. I mean, if they have to be stopped and killed, that doesn't mean we must fall down to their level and sadistically enjoy their torture just because of what they are.

I just want a game where you kill Nazis, their friends, neighbors, and their entire families in Minecraft.
Killing Nazis in games has been old for a while now, I made a comment on it a few years back. Just vote with your wallet and avoid any games where the enemies are Nazis. Considering how much choice we have in gaming today, it's unlikely you'll be missing out on anything.

Gog prohibits political discussions in the forum, and you can get banned if you break that prohibition (I was banned for a week some time ago for comments about US foreign policy). Not worth it, that's why I deleted my comments in this thread.

dudalb: Killing Nazis never gets old.

And, given your politics, you probably are sad to see Nazis killed....

Orkhepaj: so what are his politics? oh is it different than yours must be nazi then right?
