Killing Nazis never gets old.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Yup, Nazis and WWI and/or WWII games in general are extremely old and cliche and stale and boring. Not sure why devs keep re-hashing that same old crap year after year forever. I usually don't buy games that do that since it's all been done a million times before already.
And, given your politics, you probably are sad to see Nazis killed....

so what are his politics? oh is it different than yours must be nazi then right?
In the name of diversity there should be more games where you kill islamists and commies.
Nah.

Especially once Blade of Agony Ep3 comes out.
Since Wolfenstein is my favorite game franchise then no. To be more specific, I like killing Wolfenstein Nazis. There's just something about them. Maybe because of the variety. Other games are just plain old Nazis.

Working on not being broke so I can purchase the latest one here on GoG. I have all of them except that one. lol

best one was the occultist nazis , there robotic ones are just meh
I don't think it's bad that we kill nazis in games, they did remarkably evil things even 60+ years after the fact.

But other communist/socialist countries are just as bad, though they haven't tried to take over the rest of the world yet. Communist china has concentration camps, harvesting organs, etc.

Venezuela disarmed it's citizens, and were running people over with ATV's and taking over companies, including Kellogg cereal factories.

North Korea is a hell hole, but is blocked off and only able to get coal and supplies from China, and currently their nuclear weapons testing is on hold after the underground site collapsed as a high enough explosion turned rock into practically sand (and rockets can't go far enough).

Nazi (National Socialist German Worker's Party) is more or less a symbol of an evil we never want to see rise again. But too many people don't see the similarities. But there's other evils that may get the attention moreso than Islamic terrorists, ISIS and Nazis in which movies and video games take the major evil to fight and remove. And i wonder if it's closer than we think.

Still there's many (too many?) movies, shows and games on killing Nazis as well, like zombies it's an easy copout.

Heh, take an hour and Watch Kung Fury. It's awesome :)

My favorites are the skintight leather clad lady Nazis and the uber soldats. Both are pain in the ass yet satisfying when you can manage to overcome them.
sorry, bro, but fighting nazis never gets old
Nazis are the go-to-villians when Westerners run out of creative ideas to make new, interesting villians.

There is an over-saturation of video games, movies, TV shows in USA where nazis are shown as the bad guy.

This shows that Americans have lost their creativity talents and are just recycling old, used up villains again and again.

I think there are plenty of Americans with good creative ideas. But they aren't the ones that have access to resources to make said entertainment.

Disney for example has been bleeding talent for a while, and concentrate more on pushing out useless unwanted sequels vs quality content, milking what they own until it's dead. Where did the good talent go? They fired them to hire cheaper labor, so they went to other places like NetFlix, and undoubtedly have some quality content in comparison. (And no question why, Disney has a 'everything is ours' clause)

Although the easy route of 'Nazis are invading! Nazis bad!' has a much lower setup than a complex villain and actual storyline and characters. Yes they are all overused.

Though honestly if the game is fun, it doesn't matter what the badguys are, they could be the mob, Nazis, zombies, or endless waves of aliens.

Though i have a slight preference for robots. Megaman is my favorite series honestly (MM 2-7 & MMX 1-3).

The answer is - yes. And, they were National Socialists, not "nazis".

Every time a game features a women or non white in a starring role, the Dragon posts a rant about i6 bein "Woke" and Virtue SIgnalling". So, yeah, I think he is a bigot.

Killing is also getting a bit old!
How about a game wherein you rescue Nazis and try to ship them overseas? And the player plays... let's say: the Americans?
Wouldn't that be a creative idea for a game? I know, you couldn't imagine such a thing in reality!
It still needs a title... ehm... what about... something with paper and clips in it.
When the American has dog biscuits in his trousers it's just a matter of survival.

I find myself tired of nazis far less than zombies as the latter tends to encourage rubbish ai. Thematically I find the technology and weaponry of that era to be the most enjoyable. They're also a safe and iconic enemy but wolfenstein actually stands out for me because it's a tiny bit more original and has some varied enemy types (at least the older games did.)

To be fair though, I used to play day of defeat & day of defeat source daily and always opted for the German team because I enjoyed shooting Americans more (and yelling schnell and laus laus laud at every opportunity.)
