Here's the trailer for Devil May Cry 5.

All we got is the trailer, but this looks more like a DmC2 rather than a DMC5.
Why exactly does Nero look like DmC-Dante?

What the HELL did they do to the art style? That guy looks NOTHING like dante. This isn't DMC... this is DmC.

Eh...not really getting DmC vibes from the trailer except for its art direction, and the small bits of gameplay that were there looked fluid and interesting (almost like they're reusing a bunch of animations from DMC4). I'm honestly shocked we're getting another DMC before Bayonetta 3 (which might not even come out until 2020 or later).

He doesn't. Nero looks more like that douchebag from Scalebound than DmC Dante.

Yeah, that's just adding salt to the wound. :D

Well, it's only a trailer, let's wait and see.
Maybe it's not so bad after all and people will praise it for being the best entry in the series so far. :P

Edit: It's going to feature three playable characters, it's likely that Dante is going to be one of them, too bad we probably won't see Vergil.

I forgot DmC ever happened if I'm honest.

Nero had the same purpose as Donte from DmC had: to bring in new players to the franchise. Difference is, he actually had unique fighting style over Donte, who was too simplified to be interesting, especially to DMC 4 Dante players.

I wasn't too keen on Dante in DMC, but the music, level design and angsty cringe kinda made me love it if i'm honest :p

I don't mind people liking reboot Dante or enjoying playing DmC, my comparison is only from gameplay mechanics. I outgrew stupid fandom wars (at least I hope).
