Divinity meats X-com.
I for one actually really liked Dragon Commander. I like when they experiment.

Will get around to this one after I actually play OS 1 and 2.
This game is made by the devs of Expedition i assume so i wonder what Larian themselves are doing.
I just hope to play OS2 by the time this arrives.

Maybe it's a collaboration between Larian and the devs of Expeditions?
Another game named Divinity ? How original .

Maybe but i don't see why they would do that unless their Belgium branch is busy on something else but you are probably right in that.
I hope for a gog release.

I'd guess due to technical expertise of the other studio, if that's really the case. The Expeditions games proved to be quite good and maybe they talked a deal with Larian somehow. Well, i'm just speculating anyway...
Larian appears to be franchising out stuff now, similar to how Origin franchised out the Ultima IP for a few games: the ultima underworld games, and the two ultima6 engine games Savage Empire/Martian Dreams.

Hope it works out for Larian similarly to how it worked out for Origin.

I see nothing wrong in making a theme titles, but it's not necessary a franchise - probably Larian just find Divinity cool or appropiate to setting.

That was pretty much how the Ultima spinoff games worked, only they all had Lord British involved somehow in the plot starting off. Given Richard Garriott today, really funny in retrospect. Always want to add "and his majestic rat-tail" anytime the game manuals describe Lord British/Garriott.
