Great, this was pretty much one the series I wanted ported to PC the most. Though they imo should have started with Disgaea 5, but you can't have everything. In hope of future ports, they are now no more plans of getting a PS4.
Wow, that's great! It looks like it's being published straight from the Amercian division of Nippon Ichi Software too, which is a nice sign that Japanese game companies might be starting to see financial benefits in PC distribution of at least older, popular titles. It'd be great if GOG or Playism could convince them to get DRM-free distribution going as well.
Either it comes to GOG or... I wait for a Humble Bundle thing.
I like grindy jrpg's but Disgaea took it to another level, I'm not that dedicated.

I'm on the fence as to if not having my copy of disgaea is a good or bad thing currently. Having too many games that you might want to play sometime isn't ever bad though, so I'll go with yes on the topic of this.
I haven't played any of the games, but I always wanted to at least try them. Guess I'll try out the first game on my brother's PS3.
Will diagonal throwing be possible? (It wasn't on the NA version of Disgaea DS, but was on all other versions.)

Will the Foresight glitch (from the PSP version) be ported over? (If not by NIS, maybe by some modder?)

Will getting a Hyperdrive require playing for an unreasonable amount of time (like in the PSP and DS versions), or will it be more reasonable like in the PS2 version?

By the way, if you are looking for a monster type that can tank:

Manticore works really well. High HP, high ATK, and an ability that steals HP.

Galactic Demon does not work well. Low HP, and DEF does not do much good when you get comboed by enemies. (At least the 3rd and 4th tiers will reach minimum cost in the postgame for most players.)
I hope for japanese voices with english subtitles. But that's just me...

Japanese voices were an option in PS2 release, so I don't see why they shouldn't be available in PC release.
Yes!!!
I fucking LOVE Disgaea! It was the game that introduced me to NIS and I can't wait to buy a PS4 só I can get my hands on 5.
Thank you só much for the news.
I personally hope we get any and all Disgaea games so that way people will be nice and busy playing the game...forever and ever :P

Chacranajxy: It seems like everything comes to PC days, but this one was out of left field. Disgaea, the very highly-regarded SRPG, is coming to PC. Not really holding my breath at this point, but hopefully, this'll come to GOG. Here's the deets:
I wonder if it's because old assets can be resold because the original systems they were sold on aren't in use anymore. Unless they were paid to be exclusive to the PS2 or PS3 or something, why not put it on PC?

Seeing as there's PC specific updates, that sounds better than the Golden Axe or the Bubsy ports which are probably just running on emulators.

I'd love to see Disgaea come to GoG. Recently i restarted playing it for a short while and utterly blown away at the loading screens lasting maybe 2 seconds before getting to the level or game, compared to games today which take a long time even using a ramdrive to fully load games textures and other details. Not only that the game ran fast.

I've heard that some people can spend years playing them, literally. Usually after the main campaign there's extra levels that are extra hard, and then the item world with you beefing up items, and although they are all nice and good, it is sorta slow going.

Perhaps the biggest hope i have for the game, is they include an auto-resolve. What do i mean? Say i'm leveling a level 20 sword and my guys are 500th level. Do i really need to tell them all to individually rush guys and attack them? Or can they just act on their own and deal with it? I know it's tactical and turn based, but it's so very very slow, and feels worse when you're overpowered in the area you're working on.

My god, I want this so badly.
Played the first one on DS but all voiceovers were cut out except for the opening cutscene due to space limitations. >_<
More JRPG is simply a good news. Voted the wishlist.
