kud13: Origins has the best, most grounded story, and the boss battles are much more brawler-y, instead of City's focus on specific gadget for each setpiece fight (those look cool, but are much easier)
avatar
IronArcturus: Is the Batmobile available at the beginning of the game? Or do you still have to grapple everywhere?

Also, is the game itself ok without the DLC expansion?
The Batmobile is introduced in Knight nearly the beginning.

MarkoH01: 2GB is not enough VRAM for this game if you are trying to run in 10800p

B1tF1ghter: Wow, that's quite a resolution /s

On a serious note. I think it's fair to say that Arkham Knight WAS terrible for a LOT (NOT ALL) of people on day 1 and later major amount of problems got fixed but it may still cause some for SOME people so it's a total lottery.
Absolutely agreed - on day 1 it almost was unplayable for everybody.
Also, if you play on 24" 1080p is a good resolution and I doubt I will need more anytime soon.

So I guess the next batch of WB games will be the Middle-Earth games, once the servers for Shadow of War get shut down, :)

Batmobile is in Arkham Knight. It's also (imho) the worst part of Arkham Knight- the other big problem being the story, but I can't get into that without spoilers, lol

Origins Season pass is a mixed bag. The stanadalone story DLC Cold Cold Heart is the origin story for Mr Freeze, and it's pretty good, though it takes place on a modified chunk of the main game's map- like less than a quarter of the full game's map. It tries to recreate the awesome Mr Freeze boss battle from Arkham City, which was one of the best boss fights ever, imho.

the rest of the Season Pass for Origins is take it or leave it- some skins and a challenge mode. None of it (except the skins) are usable in the main game, so unless you're desperate for some character skin, you really won't be missing anything.

Wait, what!? WHAT!? Arkham KNIGHT is over here!? I just blankly stared at the front page for a bit before it actually registered!

It's still infected with denuvo over at steam for fucks sake, just HOW did you get them to release it here gog?! This is an insta-buy from me as I really need to de-steam the batman series, that means one more game without denuvo!
As others pointed out, any reason why Arkham Knight is missing achievements despite there being achievements on Steam? It's kind of odd since the other games still have achievements. There's also the Black Mask challenge pack not being listed on the store as it was not part of the Season Pass for Arkham Origins, but some people said that challenge pack was not worth getting in the first place so I'll probably let that slide. Still would be nice to have both these things resolved soon.

Either way, glad to see the Batman Arkham come to GOG! I loved Arkham Asylum back in 2009 with my PS3, so it should be fun revisiting Arkham Asylum and the other games!

Hot damn,

Arkham and HZD in like the same week? GOG is really trying to bump it up a notch before the end of the year.

Hopefully with WB on board might get a chance at other good WB stuff like Mad Max & Shadow of Mordor.

This is perfect excuse to force WB to remove it from Steam version now. This exact kind of thing happened with Prey when it got released on GOG (on Steam Denuvo "suddenly" got removed after few years from release).

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Hmm, not sure if I should buy the Batman games since I have already have Asylum and City and Knight, all of which I got for free on EGS. I prefer GOG to EGS...but at the same time, it feels weird, as if I'd be double-dipping by paying for them. I kind of want to and I also kind of don't.

I wish in the future GOG would get games before EGS has already offered them for free. Then these kind of dilemmas won't arise.
The real kicker is that the free EGS Batman games were also DRM-free (and DLC loaded). At least GOG got Origins DRM-free though, which is the one Arkham title EGS didn't get. (Unless you count Blackgate)
It was a nice surprise to see all the Batman: Arkham games here.

Bought them all the moment I saw them -- although PayPal apparently having massive technical login problems didn't help. At least I could type my card details straight into GOG.

One would hope, let's hope this is starting a new trend as I'd love to see madmax/LoTR series over here, plus the rest of the squareenix library!

Forget it. This DLC never was released on PC, and i doubt it will (unless if one day they release a remaster).

GOG.com: And BTW, Michael Keaton was the best Batman. Prove me wrong!

fronzelneekburm: Fake news! Adam West was the best Batman.

Here's your proof.
Personally I am divided between Kevin Spacey and Owen Wilson .

Very glad to have the Arkham games here but can anyone from the GOG staff tell us if they plan to release the black mask challenge pack for origins here? I'm a bit of a completionist I know ;)
