Nice to see these games here.
Hmm ... interesting. A nice little collection of games that have all been on Zoom Platform for some time, and at quite a steep discount. It couldn't be an undercut attempt, could it? No ... surely not ...

tfishell: Without wanting to get involved in some lengthy "GOG vs Zoom-Platform" shtuff / argument, I'll say in GOG's defense I had suggested these at least once, if not a few times, before I even knew they were on Z-P. (I myself scrolled the publishers' lists on Steam.) And 7,62 and Konung 3 - if not also the others - have hundreds of wishlist votes I'm glad to see completed.

Now I don't think I can defend GOG if these are exactly the same versions as Z-P's (just with GOG's wrapper). GOG should have the resources to make their own fixes, imo. Maybe the games worked fine without needing much tweaking from any party, I don't know.

(I say this as someone who has supported Z-P with a number of things, I try to support various competition to Steam.)

Syphon72: Why is Zoom even being brought up? But anyways GOG did do better job with curse the eye of isis which was surprising to me.
There are a few people signed up here who are either employees of, or volunteer for said company so they will shill every chance they get. It's one of the many reasons why I don't use said company.

These games have been sold in other places like gamersgate DRM free before Zoom. Stop shilling for Zoom. Oo wait, he's a Zoom Discord mod. Lol

I'm still waiting for Zoom to release more games.

It's off-putting for sure.

The only place I ever hear of zoom-platform is GOG forum and it's always from the same few users mentioning it on every occasion. On one hand I guess they do decent job at advertising because otherwise I wouldn't even know about this store existence and I bet there are many like me here but on the other seeing the same users over and over again gives the impression of intrusive advertising and doesn't really help with looking at zoom favorably. Even less so implying undercutting prices, lol.

Exactly. It's basically spam.

Honestly I wouldn't mind overall, GOG rules aside, but the matter is that some of those users/r are even mantaining a GOG boycotting topic. Pretty cynic and trolling situation

ciemnogrodzianin: Unexpectedly – this is the event of the day! More good old games! Or at least old ones ;)

Good base prices and good release discounts. Thanks, GOG!

· Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty I'll buy for sure
· Ascension to the Throne looks interesting – it's more like crpg or strategy? I think I should watch a few minutes of gameplay
· for the rest of them, I don't know the titles, but I'll make some research

MartiusR: Ascension to the throne IMO is primarly tactic/strategy game, with small addition of cRPG. Battles are main course of the game and there are plenty of skirmishes. Only at the very beginning main character is fighting alone or with small support (one of the first quests is surviving 1vs1 fight with werewolf). I remember that the very beginning can be tought, even very tough.

But in the end - it's surprisingly fun game. I enjoyed it a lot, despite rather poor visual experience. And in my opnion it doesn't have any replayability value - just finish the game once (with all sub-quests etc) and you will probably see everything game has to offer. But for the current price - it's a good deal.

[...]
I personally would recommend Ascension to the Throne (see my reply above), I was extremely surprised how fun this game was.
tactic/strategy + rpg = yummy

If you also mention that the game was actually fun... Mmmmm at this price it really deserves a good chance

7.62 looks interesting, too. But it is the sequel of Brigade E5, so, let us go there first.

When I saw this tweet here

I wondered whether I see two specific usernames in this release thread.

The answer is:

Yes.

LOL.

Brigade E5 suffers from numerous bugs too, especially the English version of the game. I'd recommend to apply Unofficial Patch for this game too, but it's impossible to find it nowadays. Though it is included in some of the Brigade E5 mods: Immortal Badass (English) and Bonus Mod (Russian).

I'm not 'shilling', simply calling the undercutting move it out for what it obviously is.

And I see the exact same GOGfenders, grabbing their pitchforks and rushing to the defense at the slightest criticism. As usual.

As I've said before, the implication that someone is 'advertizing', simply by mentioning Zoom Platform in a thread, is frankly hilarious and shows how paranoid the die-hard GOG fanboy userbase has become.

You're welcome. Both games aren't very old, but they are pretty hard to get master (especially if want to modify them). I play Brigade E5 since 2005, so feel free to ask any questions about Brigade E5 or 7,62 via private conversation or game forums.

And then you're doing the same at slightest criticism of zoom-platform. And of course you're completely unaffiliated with them, yet you won't miss a single chance to, completely casually, mention them in any topic even slightly related. For years.
And then you have nerve to call people fanboys and gogfenders when they find it obnoxious. But that's completely normal and I'm just paranoid.
