Yes peter, I suggest you fix it. Come on seriously, provide any information at all. What game, what have you done, what errors etc. I assume you have enabled direct play on win 10, there are a load of posts on here about it. Install outside windows folders, e.g. Install to c:/mygames.

Your post doesn't really give much detail but if you can't play an old game because it needs Direct Play then you simply have to activate it in Windows 10. It still exists but is disabled by default. If you want to know how simply watch this.

Hi,

have enabled direct play in the windows whivh has not helped.

The game is an oldie but a favourite - stronghold HD,

I am reluctant to disable my antivirus as some online posts have suggested becaus ei deal with a lot of email traffic from dofgy areas and would rather not follow this route.

Time to ask again! Sometimes they may lose your ticket, don't lose your hope yet! I bet there's a solution

EDIT: Oh, they may or may not work during weekends, so that could be the issue of not responding.

yes, a good possibility, christmas wind down weekend loading..

still looking where to download direct X 9 for my windows 10 the latest pre installed version has direct x 12 pre installed which they say included direct xX 9 but still no joy. looking for a standalone direct x 9 download

Themkim, it has unpacked a bunch of versions, the latest I can see is : Jun2010_d3dx9_39_x64

is this the one ?
