A leviathan of an update.

Diluvion is diving deeper to fetch new and refined features with its Resubmerged update. The game is 75% off until October 5th, 5pm UTC.

Here's some of the treasures it brought back from the abyss:
- A new salvaging engine
- New UI with overhauled visuals
- Updated quests, including 5+ new sidequests and an additional segment in the Abyssal Trench
- Enhanced graphics, new character portraits, new music, and more!

Fetch your snorkel and dive right in.
Looking forward to diving into this game again ;)
Been waiting for this ever since reading about the beta on Steam... THANK YOU to the developers for not forgetting about us and also for adding Achievements! Feel like a first class citizen now!

And... I see it natively supports the PS4 controller! Huge plus

Thanks to GOG and Arachnid Games. Great devs which always responded and were helpful whenever I had a question regarding this game. I never doubted them and I am glad the new version is finally finished and here on GOG as well.
Nice to see them updating their game still! I bought this one on release to support them (and because I really liked the concept of the game).

Funny enough, I actually enjoyed the original controls more - really felt like piloting a sub. Reading some of the early reviews clearly I was in the minority LOL ;)

The devs later addressed it and made them a bit more "arcadey" / traditional keyboard camera mouse movement. But I still keep my original installers so I can get my fix with those more atmospheric early movement mechanics.

At $5 it's a no brainer if you're on the fence, as far as I'm concerned. If I didn't have so much on my gaming plate I'd probably grab this and give it a shot just to see what's changed. Looks like they added in some neat little turn based battle that lets you play with your crew a bit more.
Does Diluvion work with a keyboard+mouse or does it use a controller?

Simulation mode is still in there, which is my prefered method of control, but the game has always been arcade style. Silent Hunter this is not. But the way things have been tweaked and changed, both in interface and in gameplay elements, is so refreshing. There are even RPG style land battles for crying out loud. Definitely worth a look.

Both. I like precision aiming with the mouse, so I haven't tried it with a controller. The game has two modes of play.
Arcade: Submarine follows mouse.
Simulation: Submarine movement and looking/aiming are disconnected, with Q and E controlling the dive planes.

Might actually get this...
I've found I actually prefer general exploration at half speed now. Full speed is definitely "combat speed" and lends to veering wildly out of control in situations that call for a gentler hand. Veterans of the game will remember there used to be an oxygen meter. I don't miss it being omitted, but now there seems to be a "life support" crafting module. I'm not sure what this entails or if at some point they plan to reintroduce oxygen, maybe as a higher difficulty setting.

Do you know what engine the game uses? I'm trying to find a screenshot of the Video Options, but there isn't one listed on PCGamingWiki.

Why? If it's really important I could install and check.

It's Unity

Thanks for the info!
Is the game good? I mean people were apparently complaining a lot in the reviews.

I enjoyed it and the current price it had to pass up.
