Recurring Bump, expecially for (not indie) music stores.
Happy belated birthday, thread!

These days I use Downpour for my DRM-free audiobooks and iTunes for music. It's annoying to have to install iTunes to get the music, but it has everything I want and it's DRM-free once I get it, so I don't have to use iTunes to play it.

For drm-free ebooks:
Smashwords
Baen
Double Dragon Publishing
O'Reilly Media
Delphi Classics
Book View Cafe
Beamebooks store
Bandcamp -> DRM-free music. Some composers release and sell their game soundtracks on Bandcamp. And it provides high-quality download in MP3 and FLAC.
http://www.radioarchives.com sells old pulp novels and radio plays. No DRM. Its kind of a litterature-version of GOG. The site has some freebies too.
Uh thanks guys, but.. I think I'll modify again the OP.

I'm interested in music\movies\series more than books.
I'm looking for 70'-90' classic titles first, more than indies or ancient ones.

Hey, that BUMP didn't last enough!

Every time I hear a nice song I recall that I don't have a GOG-like store -_-
For DRM-free high quality music:

You can probably forget about movies/series, they are too deeply mired in regional distribution deals with multiple owners and other interested parties.
I've searched high and low for DRM-free video. The archive.org collection is ancient and really really uninteresting. Aside from a few comedians releasing shows drm-free via their own websites, etc. it's really just GOG. And that's why GOG couldn't get it going. TV & Movie studios have no interest in you owning their material. Piracy is your only option.

I like the movies on archive, though I'm an old movie fanatic.
Oh thanks, I'll check it.
I also have to find how big is the catalogue compared to the famous stores.

The movie\series situation instead is crap.

I took a brief look and you're right. I think I had only looked for TV before - and that selection is really bad. But I'm going to take a closer look at the movies. Thanks! :)

Or anything directed by DW Griffith, or starring Lillian Gish or Mary Pickford.
