Cant say this is a major problem, but im so confused about why GOG keeps you from wanting to look for cheep games that arent just on sale. I have a very tiny budget i can put on games at the moment, but every now and the i come and take a look if theres something that could entertain me, something cheep and simple (or not simple). In the end i give up because it so stressful to go trough ALL the games to see if you find a 2-4€ game when you cant just simply sort games from low-high price. Why is this??
They do have an "under $10" filter, but that's not quite what you're looking for.

I believe you can do it quite easily with MaGog, however: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/magog_a_search_engine_for_gog_games
Yep, I've commented about the lack of "sort by price" before also, they need to add both ascending and descending sort by price. I think I might have put it on the wishlist but not certain.

I definitely would have bought some more games on certain promos if I could have sorted by price. I don't always have the time or inclination to go through an entire list of dozens or hundreds of games to find lowest priced ones though. Perhaps they do this on purpose so the low priced games are a promo worm on the hook so to speak, but while you're searching the haystack to find the needle you spot some other game and go "HOLY SHIT I MUST BUY THIS FOR $20!"

Hard to say, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say they just haven't thought of it or are too busy working on higher priorities or something. I would literally check a price sort list very frequently to pick up some low hanging fruit, probably games I would never buy otherwise too and end up buying them anyway because they're say... $2 or less and below the "who cares" price.

An "Under $6" filter would be great, I agree.

As was available in years past, indeed.

Whilst I have no direct evidence to support it, it is quite a normal marketing trick. Mix it all up and then you have to look over lots of other things whilst you look for what you want. Happens on most stores.

Yes you can, and it's super efficient.

Yup, but it totally loses out on casual and whimsical sales from people that don't have time to peruse for an hour and just want to make a B-line to what they want.

jo_the_jocker: cheep games
If you're looking for cheep games, I can recommend Angry Birds. Lots of cheeping in that one.
There is an "on sale" tab to look at too.
Another option is to simply create a thread asking for some game recommendations, and to add that you aren't look to spend more than x sestertii. Just add more or less what you're looking for, and/or what kind of games you enjoy, and see the recommendations fly in. Threads like that often pop up, and people are usually(always even) extremely eager to help. One of the best ways in which the gog community really comes together is when we notice a fellow gog person in distress, i.e. a fellow gog person who can't find a new game to play :)

Please read the first post again. Thanks.

in general if it's 2-4€ on gog.com, it's on sale. so use the "discounted" filter. I know of no items besides DLC that have prices that low non sale.
@jo_the_jocker

don't know if it's already been mentioned, there is a thread on here called 'gaming deals'

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gaming_deals_thread

All the best

PS there are also giveaway threads, but some require x amount of rep, if I get any doubles or games I'm not intrested in, I'll inbox you.

also this :

http://www.cheapshark.com/browse?storeID=6&sortBy=Price&upperPrice=7

you can change the currency and see if a game has been sold cheaper before.

i selected 0-7$ (prices maybe cheaper for you than me)
