Earlier, each channel in my "subscribed" list have had a number beside it indicating how many videos I haven't yet watched. Sure, it didn't always work properly and sometimes had a too high or too low number, and it was showing the numbers from yesterday until I refreshed the page to show current numbers, but it was nonetheless an indicator that I've likely missed something. For the last week or so, however, it seems to be gone, and I find that rather annoying.

Now, my question is, is this on my end (my account or computer) or is it Google that just want to annoy me (no, I won't accept the option that they removed it because they figured it didn't work as well as it should, I want to think I'm important enough for Google that they may mess with me personally)? And, in any case, is there a userscript that brings it back?

They did a few updates lately and one I LOVE is when you hover over a video with the mouse it plays a GIF of the video before click on it. so NO MORE CLICK BAIT VIDEOS ON MY TIME >:) wooohoo

and I hate the new layout of some things and that is about it.

Yes, alas! Most of the naughty/flashy/exhibitionist (self-recorded) videos from horny, amateur, cute little things, suddenly disappeared... All the cutiepies i had been following before, most of their accounts have been terminated (by Youtube) and videos removed! I want to cry, i want to weep, waaah!!! :'(

Gimme my cute little girls back, you meanies, sob, hic!!! :'(

And while we're complaining about Youtube in general, is there a way to force the Android Youtube application to NOT continue playing the video in a thumbnail as you navigate away from it? I know I can just fling it away, but I specifically navigated away because I did NOT want to see any more right now.

An' yeah, don't liek teh numbers next to subscriptions. Imma just hunka down 'til it all GOES AWAY (capscapscaps).
I tried that, back when I had numbers, didn't always work (as I said, they were frequently wrong), so I decided that it shouldn't bother me much. At least, it bothers me less than not having numbers at all, I don't want to go through the whole list just to see if there's something new.

An option would be nice - numbers for those who want them, and no numbers for those who are annoyed by them. But I guess Google, like Apple, Microsoft, and many others, are moving away from that archaic notion of having options and each user being able to set stuff up to work in a way that suits them.

Be glad it isn't an iPad. It sometimes (when a link from another app sends you to youtube) continues to play the video even when you've exited the Youtube app already. It continues to play the sound, but there's no little thumbnail video to wipe it off the screen. You have to exit the other app, launch the Youtube app and THEN you're able to kill off the video. Or push the home button twice, find the Youtube app between all those windows and brush it away. THAT'S annoying! Since the day I have an iPad, I love how reliable the thumbnail video pops out on my phone ;)

Huh, don't you know your supposed to download your favorite content on YouTube because you never know when it could be gone? .... even stuff that does not violate youTube rules can vanish at any time for any number of reasons - be warned!

I never download such sessions without permission from broadcaster, because i am a good boy! Alas, good people get hit the hardest and in the most unjust manner possible...

Probably, but if you did remove them would you bet your life it is not on the internet somewhere? Would you for example offer a million dollar reward that they could only collect by shooting you in the head? No matter how obscure or boring the upload was, i know i would not be making that kind of bet.

You always have to assume its on the net, even if the reality is that it is not, but you can never know for sure... that's the problem.
