I didn't place War of Mines into my cart, but it was there. GOG, I understand you're getting money to drum up support for Ukraine, but placing things into people's carts is a dishonest business practice.

I guess if it was just me, then it must have been my mistake, but I've never done that before.

Every once and then I accidentally get games on my cart, especially if I'm on mobile (it's just a misclick). I seriously doubt there's a GOG conspiracy to add games to your cart without your permission. Just remove the game.
I wonder if you were turned into a newt as well,
GOG made my cereal soggy
and turned my toilet paper roll the wrong direction

They could be very concerned about Ukraine. Maybe some of the gog staff have family in Ukraine. If it's important enough to them, it's feasible that they might do that knowing most will just dismiss it as an accident.

No is definately an accident or there would be many more other reports. The website software is broken in all kinds of different ways, this is just one of them. In the last few months I have had Witcher 3 (even though I own it) and cyberjunk (even though I wouldn’t give it to my worst enemy) added to my cart at various points. It just happens occasionally. It’s like the purple dot, or the new replies button. No ulterior motives.

There's also the matter that maybe you accidentally entered a bundle, without meaning to; or something where to complete a discount, X title needed to be in it.

I don't think it's necessarily a bug. Those games are often featured prominently on the main page, with an "Add to cart" button that seems to be extremely sensitive (and even more on a touchscreen).

We don't put games in user's carts without them clicking on it and adding it themselves.

Why not? maybe it would generate a few extra sales

I've never had anything accidentally put into my cart. People butt-dial all the time. Maybe you butt-carted the game.
Some games are alive, so maybe it sneaked into your cart all on its own ... perhaps it needed a place to sleepover.

Or maybe it is those pesky Gremlins again or the Ghost In The Machine.
Mis-adding a game to the trolley is high level trolleying yourself....(Yes, I love a good pun and do not hate a bad one.)

kmanitou: GOG fears denazification, so it supports propaganda.
A Polish company fears getting rid of nazis? What?

Doof1234: War of Mines .
I don't see any game with that name in the catalog .
