(Sorry if somebody already made a topic about this.)

I guess James Earl Jones turned 90 on the 17th. I didn't know about it until somebody mentioned it today. Star Wars has given so much to video games really, and a big part of what made Star Wars good (to me anyway) was just how cool a villain Darth Vader was. Somebody mentioned to me today that Star Wars' Twitter did not wish him a happy birthday, but they did wish one to Kelly Marie Tran (Happy Birthday Miss Tran). I looked on their Twitter and did see them celebrate MLK day and Miss Tran's birthday, but I didn't see anything for Mr. Jones.

I dunno, it just made me kind of sad. I suppose I figured after a year when so many people died (many of whom were elderly) I thought we were pretty lucky to have him at such an age. I normally don't get upset about "something stupid I saw on Twitter," but it did bother me a bit.

Anyway, he's in all likelihood never going to see this, and I have no such delusions. However, it felt bad not to not say anything.

Happy (belated) birthday, Mr. James Earl Jones, God bless, and thank you.
There are so many actors connected in some way with Disney they'd need a separate account to do nothing but wish them all happy birthday. It's more surprising they did it for Tran, especially as one would think they'd want people to forget Disney somehow managed to curse us with a Star Wars character more annoying than Jar-Jar :D

Anyway, James Earl Jones is great. It was great to have him return to voice Vader for Rogue One and Rebels, and I hope he'll be back again. Still, my favorite role of his was in Field of Dreams. "People will come, Ray."

How could you not wish the voice of Darth Vader a happy birthday (his 90th BTW)?

Disney continues to disrespect everything having to do with the original films.

Sickening...

... really miss the old Lucasfilm
because he's a legend that they did not make. They wished Jar Jar 2.0 a happy birthday cause that was their creation.
stop using twitter it is garbage

all those twitterinas do is push their idiotic agendas , do you think they care at all about star wars or the other things they should represent? nope , all they care about is blue checkmarks retweets and likes
this is clearly an illness

A sensible answer. They just bought the legacy but didn't make it.

Not really much of an answer. You're all forgetting James Earl Jones was also the voice of Mufasa. In the original Lion King AND the remake. One would think that's a more important "Disney connection".

ah thought Finn as that is the bumbling one
Rose is just pls watch these movies chinese people mascot
While you're enjoying the wine, here's an alternative take: Disney asked if he wanted to be wished, and he said, "No."
I'm not surprised at all after what they did to Alan Dean Foster.

...which is funny, because she's ethnically Vietnamese. (But who cares, all Asians are the same, right, Disney?)
