KiNgBrAdLeY7: Hmm, i reached hell just now, but i don't dare venture in it, yet. I am level 66. One hedgehog spike thrown at me makes me loose 1/3 of my almost 700 hitpoints. My issue was my need to find those +2 skillers at nightmare, but since you say no chance, well, i might build some more levels and go full hell.
I don't know how well equipped your char is but level 65 is mostly not high enough to survive in hell unless one has twinked gear. I was around the same level the first time I entered hell mode and having to run from those little hedgehog turds is humiliating. Dying is a hassle as the EXP penalty in hell is quite severe, and obviously the risk for hardcore mode is way too high. Keep in mind even those little hedgehogs are more than a 100 times stronger than in normal mode. I went right back to doing a couple Mephisto runs to farm gear for myself and my act 2 merc until I was around level 70+ before trying hell again. Couldn't make any advanced rune words since that simply isn't feasible in singleplayer, you'd have to farm forever. Even in hell mode, farming runes is tedious and making high level runewords isn't realistic. I played through most of hell with a simple dusk shroud fitted with Smoke (NEF+LUM).
KiNgBrAdLeY7: If i can reach tamoe highland and be able to survive farming its cave, i can get ALL endgame loot in it. This area is level 85 (max level for an area) and inside it, ANY, even the HIGHEST items, can spawn. Like stone of jordan and final set pieces, like Tal Rasha's.
If the hedgehogs outside the rogue camp are giving you a hard time, the dark archers on the lower level of The Pit are going to murder you outright. The Pit has some decent drops but I never got super lucky with drops down there, even with decent magic finding. I usually just farm for raw material down there, without using magic find. If you want Tal Rasha set pieces, don't bother with Pit runs. I got Tal Rasha's mask while doing Rakanishu runs for lolz. You can find him in the Stony Field close to where the 5 menhir stand. He's a low level boss but it's fun to do Raka-runs. RAKANISHUUU! An on hell, he sometimes drops something mildly useful. If I recall correctly, it wasn't him who dropped the Tal Rasha mask but a random drop in the area. I've found other Tal Rasha pieces in the most random places in hell, surprisingly not even high level areas.
