fronzelneekburm: I found the thread on Fireflower.
https://fireflowergames.com/forum/general%2Fgame-suggestions/devotion "Seems to have something to do with a Winnie the Poo image in the game. I'm not sure about that as that is on the verge of bullying, and I don't like bullying no matter who it's directed at."
So a picture making a silly joke about the head of the CCP is considered bullying by the heads of fire flower? And they don't like game companies doing such? Lol
Are they for serious? XD
I wonder two things: 1. How many people with colored hair and hipster glasses and etc work for or run that company?
(cuz I bet there are some of those types on staff or running the joint, if they hold such views)
2. If it was a game making fun of, say,
a man made of cheetos....would they refuse to stock such a game as well?
(my money is they would stock it and call it stunning and brave)
=-=-=
Sidenote: This post I just quoted was removed.....forum bug or did they say something rule breaking, I wonder?
(nothing seemed rule breaking from reading it, though I could be wrong)
Post 145: I'm calling it - ultimately no Western platform is going to pick this up.
Especially not the American ones, like Zoom or itch. If it's too hot even for Steam (I don't believe that the Devotion dev had removed it from Steam himself one moment - like GOG, it was Steam themselves) then why should any of the smaller platforms risk potential repercussions that could have them close up shop for good.
Well I think zoom platform is so small that they wouldn't mind the lost sales if china tried to block or blocked their citizens from buying there.
Also the all the buzz and talk about Devotion would likely get them a good number of sales if they released it there.
Still, afaik atm they are busy with bringing other games to that site and improving/changing things about the site/store there....so if they do do it it might be awhile.
