"We actually have the rights to Noctropolis and have something special planned for you guys"

Makes me wonder when EA lost or sold the rights.
Still waiting for Strife...

No Strife for you.

Does this mean I can have peace? Not a bad trade-off.
In addition to Noctropolis, NDS are looking to bring back Powerslave/Exhumed, and they had previously mentioned on Facebook that they would try to port the console version to PC. They also hint at NOLF incoming, but probably not by them. And on Twitter a few days ago they were teasing that some stuff is headed to GOG soon. Hopefully, they'll implement Galaxy with Strife Veteran's Edition.

Hmmm, maybe WB then? Perhaps GOG offered to do the work so they could get a short exclusivity period. Who knows.

I never thought of Strife as primarily multiplayer, plus, the damage on their end has already been done. It would be more likely to see NOLF released through Warner Bros of all people before Night Dive.
What the heck world do we live in where the big companies are more willing to do DRM-free than the small "indies"?

"In the meantime, Kick's plans for 2015 involve more technically complex projects (one of which "has to do with dinosaurs") that would involve coding beyond basic compatibility issues. It's an open question if his informal team is ready for an increase in scale on that level, but he seems optimistic."

Maybe that's "Trespasser"? (assuming EA allowed ND access) What other dinosaur games can people think of that need compatibility work?

Tarm: Turok?
Ah, that'd be a better guess! I'd buy it here.

Me too. I remember the second one being a fun shooter. :)

That would be interesting. ^_^
Since Night Dive stopped paying the people they've contracted to work on Strife months ago, a GOG release is now up in the air:

"Also the game's not being updated again until and unless we're contracted to do more work. Send bug reports to NDS, maybe they'll offer us something to do further improvement. Frankly I think they're satisfied with the results they've gotten. Feature requests posted here will not be addressed."

<sigh> At least I still have my two physical copies.

Or maybe one of the old Jurassic Park games.
