Well, here is Croteam's response regarding Talos Principle on GOG:
"Also, if GoG supported Steam keys, they would be selling Talos now. But as the situation is now, even if they had the API comparable to Steam, it wouldn't be worth the development time, since their market share is much lower. Shrug"

They go on for a few more posts, but don't expect anything from Croteam here anytime soon. I'm probably gonna pass on SS4 because I just didn't enjoy SS3 that much, and this looks like too much more of the same plus, I'm expecting yet another 'To Be Continued' ending. Worst case, I'll pick it up when it's inevitably 90%+ off.
And Serious Sam 2 on steam it's a steamworks game...
Really excited about this! One of my favorite series and I'm sure they will hit it out of the park. The forest environment looks like a great change of pace from Egypt.

It's a shame it won't be coming to GOG, but it's one of the very few games I would ever consider buying on Steam.

Enebias: Croteam has already been adamant in the past: they say they have the resources to support one version of the game, so they will go with the one which pays more: Steam.
Considering their actual size, and a lesser known fact that they tend to open proxy studios that they don't want attached to their name (at least initially), that's total bullshit from their end.
Serious Sam 2 has serious issues (pun not intended) where your profile and saves will randomly corrupt. It's probably good that it's not here.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the Serious Sam games. The art direction and character don't do anything for me, which in turn makes the gameplay feel like a chore for me. I felt that way about Painkiller too. So I'm not as hyped for this. I didn't know Croteam were such cunts about selling elsewhere though. But that's how it goes I suppose.

They make nice looking games, and I haven't played Talos, but... eh? *Shrug*
Only the basic versions of the first two games are here, plus one of the spinoff games, but Steam gets the HD remasters, the VR game, and all the other later games and the bells and whistles attached.

Well, that explains why they took the time to port Talos Principle to NVIDIA SHIELD !

You are not missing on anything with the HD remasters. If it was only updated graphics, cool, but they also changed some elements of the gameplay and for the worse I would say. You also lose some uniquely designed levels that play with weird gravity, which are just cut from the HD versions, because the new engine can't handle it. I have both versions and always end up playing the originals.

Serious Sam 2 sucks, so no loss there.

The VR gimmicks are only for those who are interested and own a device for it.

The only thing that is sorely missing here is Serious Sam 3 and the DLC. Would buy it in an instant just to have a non Steam version of it.

Ah. I didn't know that. So what they said is actually bullshit. Good to know.

So seems like the publisher doesn't have much say in this matter, and Croteam is not interested in GOG!

Looks like it maybe if they setup fusion properly in the future or classics revolution comes out of early access , they might think about a release , from my interactions with croteam on steam , they are very friendly you might want to contact them to see what their take on it is.

Now when you say Serious Sam 2, do you mean Second Encounter or the one that came after it? It was under my impression that Second Encounter was well received by that 2 went for a cartoony style to fit in with the consoles of the era.

By Serious Sam 2 I mean Serious Sam 2. The consolish cartoony joke of a game that spits on pretty much everything Serious Sam stands for, ridicules the entire plot of the series and is so colorful it was annoying to look at for an extended period of time.
How To Make a Serious Sam Game:

- Create a big, featureless map of nothingness.
- Dump dozens of stock enemies into it.
- Set player spawn point
