This is of no use to GOG, we don't even have Serious Sam 2 even though that game is DRM free on Steam.

Croteam are shitlords who have no intention of supporting GOG, at all.

Ah beat me to announcing the sighting of Serious Sam 4s Trailer, lets hope this one has the same magic as the first and second encounter.
I don't think I'll care, I bought the first thee on the collection on Xbox360, finished the first one and abandoned the others.

I also only ever heard of a single case of the key slip before.
Can't wait to see to see what kind of DRM they will implement this time around.

It's not. Croteam have added Steamworks to the game, making it dependent on the client. Just stick to your retail copy.

This exactly forms one of the questions I asked in the OP.
When will we have the SS games on GOG?

fortune_p_dawg: neato. i will start caring as soon as serious sam 2 and 3 show up here.
Is there any specific reason why those games are not here?
It puzzles me as Devolver releases a lot of their games here on GOG. So why not the SS games?

Because they're fun.

Selling on GOG = More people buying the game = more money

Also Devolver seems to release their games on GOG, even new games like the Shadow Warrior reboots. So I feel they are pretty open towards GOG as platform. This is what puzzles me.

yeah you'd think so. but maybe they figure the money generated from releasing them on here wouldn't be worth the effort in both man hours and money. offset the cost of lawyers fees, having to file more taxes, international charges, bank fees, and other bits of arbitrary bureaucratic baloney which seem to inevitably work their way into every facet of existence.

so okay... laziness AND greed.

and they are pretty cool with gog i think. i think it has more to do with croteam and whatever reasons they've managed to cherry pick out of thin air.

Croteam has already been adamant in the past: they say they have the resources to support one version of the game, so they will go with the one which pays more: Steam.

Still, Devolver could lend a hand there...

I'm more interested in The Talos Principle 2 (which is probably years away with this and the VR stuff they're working on).

They might release the games once they are stable aka do not frequent patches which gog is a pain to release on
