Pfft, disgusting. The only thing worse than preorder bonuses - AAA kickstarter tier preorders... was about time I suppose, considering that they think kickstarters are made for them as well.

Not that I intended to make a day1 purchase one way or the other. In 5 years, when it finds its way here or ends up in a $1 humble bundle.

The only game I have ever pre-ordered was Witcher 3 and it has zero bonuses for pre-ordering. Some discount, but no bonuses.

I did it to support the developer and DRM-free game distribution. That's my bar, I must trust and respect the developer and the game must be DRM-free, then I'll be very open to pre-ordering.

DXMD has neither and the pre-order bonuses don't interest me at all.

Bioshock was available DRM-free for a dollar on HumbleBundle but never on GoG. Makes me wonder.

I haven't preordered any game since about 5 years ago so no I will not but I bet what you said is exactly what Square Enix is expecting.

If you can tolerate the over the top obnoxious character he plays, there are some valid points on how propagating the pre-order culture over the years has led to this latest deplorable marketing stunt by Eido Montreal/Squeenix.

Yeah, I don't really have high hopes of the gaming majority resisting this bullshit stunt unfortunately and if this one succeeds we will only see more crowd sourced pre-orders from other publishers as well.
