Back in the saddle.

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, the tactical gunslinging classic, has recently received an update that brings new content plus several convenient improvements. Here's the rundown:

- Help Cooper, Doc, and Kate save a town from outlaw scumbags in a new mission designed to be the game's demo.
- The game's core technology has been updated to work well on systems running Win 7/8/10.
- Mac and Linux support added!
- Additional language options added: English, French, German, Spanish (both for the demo and main game), Italian, Russian (main game only)

Both Desperados games are now 80% off until July 16th, 5pm UTC. If you haven't tried them yet, go ahead and give them a shot. Or two.
Linux, great game and great discount - thanks, GOG!

DubConqueror: I'm stupid. Saw a message on internet the game got an update to make the game run on modern systems, with a link to the steam version. As it was just 99 cents, I bought it - but I totally forgot to check if the game's on GOG as well. 99 cents wasted on Steam :-(

Adamdos: You can get a refund from Steam,if you have played it for less than 2 hours.
Thanks, I requested a refund. I thought you need to ask a refund within 2 hours of buying, but if the rule is having played it for less than 2 hours, I should be fined, I haven't even installed it yet.
Hm, I definitely think I want to hear some testimonies of the stability before committing.

Because a few years ago I did want this game on here.
Thanks for the Linux release! Instabuy.
Hey blues, you'll probably want to add a comment to the effect of "This should now be fixed" to the reviews by JcGross and shovas. They're second and third from the top and giving it 2 and 1 star(s), respectively, because of crashes on 64-bit Windows 7.

If I remember correctly, it's "within 14 days from purchase, or less than 2 hours played".
Bought!

Leroux: Bought!
Bought long ago, downloaded earlier today and started playing it right now! :D

I think the job THQ Nordic is doing with these remasters, with some oldies and not-so-oldies is of superb relevance; it means to (also) preserve games.
Their increasing catalog and their awesome IPs - one can't deny that- makes me wonder what's next. Like... deBlob, for instance. I owned a Wii in its somehow mid life and never got the chance to dig out this awesome title, uh... nicely.
Then masterminds at THQ Nordic delivered it to several new consoles and it was featured on the windows pc plaftorm for the first time. Their work with Linux and Mac is also supreme and too important to be true. How cool is that?

Hope some greedy folks out there learn with this company I somehow admire. They have my hard earned money on GOG (~16 tiltes owned here!), Steam, ps4, wii u, ps3, Gamersgate and so on.

Thanks for another optimization! Cheers!

ps: Deadly Creatures sez hi! ;P
Thank you very much for this update, it's really nice ! :)
This kind of update is awesome. Purchased even though I may not get to it for a while.

I've been giving Nordic a lot of flak for practices I think are below being justifiable just to get some cash, lately, so I thought I'd pop in here just to give them credit for a job well done. Impressive, actually.

Thanks, Nordic, for making this superb game work on modern systems (it does, I tried it right away), for restoring a semi-lost demo, for adding more languages. I'm not here to criticize you, I don't "hate" you (I don't think we should HATE anything, unless it's under some specific circumstances, for which I believe video games do not apply), I'm willing to see the good things you do, as well.

I still don't like your remastered edition pun names, though, sorry.
Mac support? Shall buy. Thanks gog!
Absolutely perfect, gonna buy the whole trilogy.
Thank you, GOG and THQ Nordic :)
alas, I just bought them from Steam last night (it's cheaper though)
