gamesfreak64: i have the demo running
at first i had the win firewal (buildin) popping up
but thats because i thought the game was a zip/rar so i unpacked it with uniexctract

i double clicked and ran the setup
maybe i clicked to fast cause its in c:\ ............

now... :D

i assume the full game can be installed to any drive and any folder?
i like to keep my c:\ partition clean

anyway the game demo is very cool... some parts in the next room remind me of old amiga like adventures
which is very nice.

one question (for now) i assume the game wont be filled with lightning thunders or flashing screens (my photosensitvity) wont allow that :D

assuming these wont be there, this game would be worth buying it .... is there any indication of a price tag ?
i have lots of casual games and they have comic intros and all that, so this reminds me of casual games and i like casual games.
So what would be the estimate price ? 5.99 - 9.99 ?
cause that would be a price i can afford

anyway i guess i will read it later... gotta go now

bye...
Yes you'll be able to choose the directory, maybe I forgot that in the setup build. I'll check.

There are some lightning effects at some specific points in the game, like the bathroom and a thunder storm. However there'll be an option to deactivate special effects (also because it may run slowly on some computers)

The price is 9.99 :)

Thanks for the nice words!

NB : Watch out for that previous comment, it's SPAM... That Steam key he mentioned isn't a valid one.
thanks for the reply...
like i said in previous post on games, almost any game is worth trying it (except 3d (motionsickenss)and very flashy games (lightning ) (sensitivity)
and the use of weird metallic reverbing space effects and voice like the robot in j.u.l.i.a has (but i turned the speech off)

These 3 major things kept me from buying many games, in the past most games had indeed controls to disable most if not all effects (to keep the min req very low and be able to get more revenue).

So basically i am in for most games (minus the ones mentioned above) and that still leaves loads of games for me to buy.
I dont mind if a game is harder then the average game, the things that count are the things i described above.
And bugs, ofcourse bugs will break a game and hold the sales, cause noone wants bugs.

One last question:
so it will be on steam soon?
if this one is DRM free,so i can run it on my win7 (i only use steam on old xp, i buy, download install and then use the game on my win7 (same pc) then i might buy it incase GoG might not add it.

I noticed that so called key :D its obvious its not a real key, the way of posting (the texts) shows its not legit, unfortunately these posts are everywhere in any forum, sometimes they make accounts just to spam and bot.
chances might be that the accounts that spam and bot, were being registered with expiring emailaccounts, this happens on 99% of the forums, maybe at every forum.

It will be released at the same time on Steam, my official site (http://www.demetriosgame.com) which is a DRM Free version, and other DRM-Free sites like itch.io. (and hopefully GoG!)

And it should run on Windows XP too, even if it's not officially supported :)

Since nobody seemed to have done it yet, I low-rated it and reported it as spam.
Thanks, I didn't find the button to report it. :)

When you click the low-rate button (not testing it to double-check :) ) "Report as spam" should pop up as an option.

okay, thanks for the info, but i use latest FF but no popups and i have my addblock disabled (only on gog and sites where i buy stuff)
maybe a FF glitch i guess, FF is really going down the drain .... it also keeps nagging about security certificates of many welknown sites like google and yahoo, while chrome does not complain... ahwell i guess FF is adding to much crap inside the browser.

I have none of the problems you mentioned with FF so the problem might be on your end.

maybe...
i have all security i can

i have active AV, active malwarebytes
i always triple check all urls, cause i never click blindly on any url, all my downloads are checked by AV, i also triple check my pc every day.

i did notice that when using FF 40-42 i never had these issues
it started since V43x

It could be the problem I guess. The AV. Some of them do install plugins on your browser. But I can't really know, just making a guess. Only thing I can tell you for sure is that Firefox has been working like clockwork for me and I haven't encountered the problems you mention. It could also be the fault of an addon or addons conflicting? Which ones do you use? I have HTTPS Everywhere, Greasemonkey, NoScript and uBlock Origin installed.
i dont have: Greasemonkey, NoScript and uBlock Origin installed.
but all sites give https, thats the funny part, funnier is the fact that its noit every time, its now and then, i read some posts where more users also experienced weird things now and then.

i do surf 99% of the time (when i dont need to buy things) in safemode with ad blocker on, i also use R.I.P it permantley cause some sites keep nagging to disable addblock despite of all the filters i have.
Thats why ripit is used by me to rip these nasty often malware connected links.

The funny part is that a hiwl ago dutch sites, welknown dutch sites had malware but these morons had no clue, it appeared some people who rented addspace were spreading malware and other shits to infect dutch users,
Thats what you get when those greedy always money hungry dutch 'companies' dont check their people who want to pay to show adds on their sites.

Buienradar.nl
nu.nl
and many more dutchs sites had these problems.

i assume these are fixed now...

So it is clear now that not only the netherlands have an incompetent government (bowing to EU )
but also fools who donttriplecheck the sources before they put or link stuff up their sites, all because of the eurosigns in their eyes.

Unfortunately, Demetrios iwasn't accepted by GoG :(

Their reply :

We’ve taken a look at your title, it seems like an engaging game with
some cool features.

Unfortunately, however, we feel that it would not be a good fit for
GOG. Right now we are fully focused on releasing titles that are going
to be a perfect match for our users.

I am afraid that your title does not match our criteria, so we need to
pass on it.

I knew there was a high chance they wouldn't, but I'm still very disappointed that :

- They didn't give me the reason. Just a copy/pasted message with absolutely NO information as to why they refused it.

- They didn't play the game. I know because they didn't download the build I gave them.

I strongly believe GoG only accepts games that are popular - not so much quality ones. They're a store, after all.

Anyway, the DRM free version will be available on my site and Itch.io.

(NB : Demetrios was also accepted on Indie Gala, Green Man Gaming, Games Republic and a few others)

Finally, the DEMO version is now available on Steam!

Really strange, it seems weird for GOG not to try a game before rejecting it.

Good on you for giving people a DRM-Free option anyway.
