mqstout: Why? At who's request? Chances they're returning?

I've purchased these and it sucks to see more games that won't get updates ever again.
That the games aren't sold here anymore doesn't automatically mean that they won't get any more updates in the future. The Long Dark for example still got support and all the updates after the game left the store.
This is a pleasant surprise considering delisting can easily be missed for those who don't check in daily.

I had Alchemist Adventure and Broken Lines already in my wishlist, I might as well grab them all.

SargonAelther: Why are they being delisted?

Thanks for the sale though, I've bought all of them, especially since they have achievements.

Spectrum_Legacy: If I had to guess, then it's because it's no longer economical to support them here due to the lack of sales, as much as it sucks to hear. E.g. Raiji has 12 reviews on gog, while ~1650 on steam. We can extrapolate sales out of that ratio. Worth to keep in mind that these games will become unsupported here, so no more updates/patches either.
This seems likely imo

Many games are being sold that are "unsupported (no more patches are being released)". End of support is never a good reason to delist a game. Games are art, not throwaway phone apps. Just because a game is unsupported, that doesn't mean it will not run. If it does stop running, there are always community patches, sometimes patches by the store.

Think about it, if "support" was crucial, why would anyone rush to buy them before they get delsited?

I still think that this is either going to comeback under a different publisher name, same as on Steam, or the new owners just want DRM everywhere.

Another day, another publisher satisfied with their GOG profits.

Isn't The Long Dark the one exception? Or are there other?

I'm not completely sure. Right at the moment none of the removed games I own have an update notification. But many of them are old games that no longer get patches from the developers. I remember that the Duke Nukem games got compability patches for new OSes though. That was probably done by GOG.

Edit: Republique got an update about one year after the game left the store (I think the last episode was added).

Thank you! This is good info!

Absolutely true, that's how I feel about games too. It doesn't matter whether they are good or not so good.
Thank you so much for the early notification :)

Always a shame to see games go, but it's a pleasant surprise to get that much warning and discounts before they do. Thank you
Glad I stopped by here. Always appreciate the notice and doubly so when you include a farewell discount! Cheers!

maxpoweruser: That is how you handle a delisting. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to purchase these for an extended period at a discounted price.
^ This! Thanks, GOG and Super.com, really.

I don't like this kind of purchases under pressure, but think I'll take:
– "Broken Lines" (decent price, the genre I like, Linux support and Polish language)
– "Retro Machina" (because of graphics' style and puzzles)

It's sad that these titles are delisted, because, after a little research, it looks like all of them looks interesting and may be worth trying at some point in future.
This is not so super, as the Germans say.
