Here's a thought: If you dislike stores that are not selling your favourite videogame, why not just ignore them and move on?

Everyone can clearly see that some people feel they should be allowed to express displeasure at the newest latest displeasure fad from time to time, meaning every day with a brand new thread. Nobody's disputing that you guys uhhh.. feel the need as you call it.

That said, why do you seem to feel the need to "feel the need" all over the forums instead of circlejerking it in a single thread? No one is forcing you to come into said forums and "feel the need" in them over and over. It just increases the danger of someone replying to those "opinions" which is apparently not a desirable eventuality.

Technically you might be right(as they don't seem to last long due to people's minds switching to other things after some time)...that said, I wonder if you'd also call people decrying DRM of some sort(real or imagined) on GOG or other issues as "fads" as well.

Maybe because one thread for the topic would likely become a confusing mess of subtopics and conversations, and it would be more optimal to have at least several threads to discuss it properly?

Also i'd like to know: did you also say the same things when people decried the DRM(or other problems) mentioned above on GOG in thread after thread?

I come to post in such threads(in part) to show support for and stand in solidarity with those who are expressing their displeasure with GOG. Whereas you and some others just seem to come into these threads to express displeasure about & take cheap shots at those expressing themselves.

edit: I actually think a few organized subthreads should be made for the topic and all conversations moved/slated to them...it would organize people's thoughts and convos better, and take up less threads...making it all more clean and efficient.

Also those who dislike the forums being used in ways they dislike(people talking about topics they dislike or talking about some topics too much, etc), and the forums trolls(and their bots) have likely both been through here as well.

The most popular long running hate thread fad, several years in a row, has been "is GOG going bankrupt?" thread. Except it was mostly made by one guy and the frequency was like once a week. None of the usual hate circlejerk threads were such an intensive low effort spam like this new favourite pastime of yours.

The words above(bolded by me) that you wrote show that you seem to care more about how organized the forum is(and yourself) more than people expressing themselves, and seem to somewhat prove my points made earlier.

I don't care if you dislike the wording/frequency of such threads, but:

Maybe show some empathy for people once in awhile, and not put people down? Or(as suggested earlier) don't read such threads if you find them to be "spam" and "circlej*rks"?

(what you are doing is akin to a vegan entering a butcher shop and complaining there is meat inside)

Destructive and hateful outrage for the sake of outrage some people clearly only have as a hobby is not something to be encouraged or to empathize with.

Criticism in a civil manner is not destructive outrage....and the op's post was just that: civil criticism.
(of course, yes, some others who posted on the subject have been less than civil in some cases)

Now please try to stick ontopic and not belittle those who are supporting the topic, if you could. As for me, i'm going back to the topic at hand.

Ontopic: The wishlist is pretty high now.....over 8200 votes.....i'm surprised GOG hasn't changed course or otherwise replied to the "wishes of the many gamers" here.

sure, "criticism", it's always "criticism", "just sayin", "debate". That's what the same sort of people claimed when they were "gamergating" or when they were harassing Star Wars actors on twitter or some shit. It was the exact same pattern because it's always the same pattern, since it's nothing but a destructive pastime.

And yeah, spam gets deleted and spammers banned on most internet forums that have any kind of moderation. It's shocking but true. No jokes.

Yup, he's one of those people that just refuses to even try to see it from others' perspectives and is intent on lumping us all in the same bandwagon basket. Replying to him is a waste of time and energy.

For any who didn't vote for the game on the wishlist yet, it is here(currently at 8200+ votes): Better ways to let yourself be heard would be to post your thoughts(civil and clean, of course) to GOG's various social media pages(such as on Twitter/Facebook/etc)....and also(if you want to) to buy less or not at all, if possible.

It's sadly not a rare thing....i've seen others on GOG and elsewhere who do the same: others calling people whiners/etc when it's a topic they don't care about, but if it's something they care about they change their tune and start doing the same thing some of us are doing re: Devotion.

I don't care if others don't care about or civilly criticize a topic I care about, but when people start belittling or mocking those expressing their views......that's where I draw the line.

Judging from these likes and dislikes, I'm starting to think that we're not just dealing with trolls. Perhaps Chinese agents? All the more reason we should push for this. Also yeah if China is sore enough to ban Winnie the Pooh, you can bet they're involved here.

No, it's the same behavior I saw before in other topics....it's more likely the forum trolls are using bots to low rate those that side with the OP and uprate those who side against the OP.

(usually it happens more in threads that are critical of GOG or things the trolls seem to like, or which post topics the forum trolls dislike on "their forums")
