Well, this link appeared earlier today: http://www.caveshmups.com. And supposedly, it's real, as one of the official Twitter accounts for Cave tweeted it out.

That's some mind-blowing stuff -- CAVE's brand of shmups basically defined bullet hell, and are super high-quality games across the board. Assuming the quality of the ports is where it needs to be, I'd buy every single one.

Only announced for Steam so far, naturally, but hopefully GOG wouldn't turn down the most important games in the genre.
Wow, I guess it's a little early for most folks, still.
Bullet hell games burn my eyes +_+
If GOG gets them and the emulation is accurate, I will buy them.
I would love to have these on GOG and would most likely buy them day one.
GOG is probably going to reject these due to how obscure they are (despite the fanbase that they have), but they did accept Crimzon Clover and a few other bullet hells. Either way, awesome.

One of the guys from Degica said that the reason Crimzon Clover got through is because it had a fair amount of buzz about it. And Crimzon Clover is nowhere near as big as CAVE, generally speaking. So, I'm not terribly concerned about GOG shooting it down.

Amazing news. Thanks for sharing!
I wonder if they will consider bringing over a few of the older titles, or only the XBox 360 ports. I guess the latter are "easy" to bring over to the PC, so that might be the start at least.

CAVE have been quite open-minded in the past by going against the norm and making region free releases of their console versions. I very much hope they will see the possibilities of additional digital platforms in the same light.

Never underestimate the random curation of GOG.....

Anyway, I'm buying them day one so they better come here or I would sadly have to rely on Steam like Ikaruga, Exceed or Sine Mora... :(

I wouldn't be surprised if this extended past just the stuff that was on the 360, particularly if the first batch of titles are succesful. And then there's stuff like Dangun Feveron, which was completed for XBLA, but never released.

Anyway, the background for the caveshmups.com site is from Mushihimesama Futari, so I'm guessing that'll be the first (or one of the first games.) Which is great, because that's one of the best shooters ever.
It's Mushihimesama!

Haven't played it (only played Futari, but that game was still awesome), but I've been meaning to get my hands on it. I really hope this game comes to GOG.

I bet they add non-removable graphic borders too. Every time this happens I just go back to MAME.

I mean, I want to give them money, but if they can't be bothered implementing something so simple, then I can't be bothered paying.

I hope GOG get this too and don't snobbishly decline to carry it because it doesn't "fit" like they did with XII ZEAL, KAMUI, RefleX, ALLTYNEX...and probably more I don't know about. :/
" Additional mode DLC "

ha-ha
And then there is Eschatos... I get the impression that Degica isn't very excited about dealing with GOG anymore, so I am not very optimistic. We didn't even get the Crimzon Clover updates after all this time.
