I never said I was, but I'll repeat the question. [There's an official GoG] Discord?

Also, I hate to be the one to say this, but for ease of communication, this is the English language forum.

There is an official Gog "Discord" for the French. (I think we are the only ones to have one).

Yes - I think you might be the only people to have one. Generally how did it work out? I can imagine that it made it easier for Discord users to get support but might have slowed down support for people who had no access/discord account.


Please don't assume you know what I'm thinking. However, I would suggest that they're more likely to listen to French people speaking English on the English language forum than they would be to listen to French people speaking French on the English language forum. Anyway, that's all that I care to say on this matter.

We didn't get any special treatment. We always have to go through the official support to get help. The "Discord" just allows to communicate more simply with the other french users of gog. And to help each other.

Otherwise I really hope that gog will find a solution to our problem.

Hello. I'm just making an update. Today we got all the "news" in a little less than an hour. So there is a huge progress and I would like to thank the team and encourage them to continue on this way.

I hope that it will continue like this and that gog will continue to publish the "news" in French. =)

In addition, support for Russian users has ceased. I created several support tickets with various problems, but I did not receive a response. The very first message was written in July, and no one answered. Another Russian user complained that the Cyberpunk 2077 game was gone, and he also created several tickets, but he was also not answered, and the problem was never solved. Outrageous!

There is a simple solution to your problem... when dealing with international channels (ie, all the countries in the wide world speaking a myriad of other languages, plus English), speak in English if you can and if you can't, try to learn English.

It is the standard world-wide protocol to do business. Its a done deal. I live in the present, don't get me started about revisiting the past hoping for some other outcome (I'm in Quebec, I'm well aware of where that mindset will lead you).

Maybe in the future, it will be Mandarin (in which case you bet my kids will learn it, or my grand-kids more likely... as an individual, I don't shape geopolitics and I'm not interested in drowning going counter-current to them, I adapt to them), we'll see. But for now, it's English.

Locally, you can speak whatever language is dominant. I interact in French regularly with the people living in my area. But when I'm doing software development or interacting with people abroad on the internet, I do it in English.

You can chose to view this as a burden, but really, it's a gift. People who are born into a dominant culture and never had to adapt to anything can be woefully oblivious to the shifting tides of the world and are more easily taken aback by change. People who had to adapt already know better.
