Hi. Welcome to join the GOG. What video game genres you prefer the most?

Btw, fix your chat settings. I wanted to send you a message via chat.

Welcome to gog and the forum! There are three Stalker games here, and many many others that people here can recommend if we know more about what you enjoy playing.
Welcome!! It's nice to see new blood in this old and grumpy wasteland. As others before me said, just tell what kind of games you like and the recommendations will come.

BTW, i sent you a friend request.

And if you like Stalker then I might not be much help recommending because I try not to play games THAT HARD! XD
I mean, I do have the Stalker games, and I play them, but only when I feel like getting my ass kicked. :P

Haha thats alright, Nova Scotia.

Thanks everyone for the friendly replys. I'm mostly into RPG games like Diablo. I also like HC games that gives a good challenge and permadeath. Was thinking of trying out the boulders gate series.

Decided to give up Steam for a change and so far I'm really like it here.

Diablo 2 is my favorite game ever.
If you like those, then I would recommend (and I'm sure you've probably heard of these):

Grim Dawn
Titan Quest
Torchlight 1 & 2 (those are a but on the cartoony side but still great)
Van Helsing
Victor Vran
I've already tried all of those but only ended up playing them for maybe a hundred hours than got bored. Maybe playing Diablo 2 for thousands of hours over 11 years made me bored of them and I didn't even notice.

You may want to give Darkwood a try then. That one has some RPG-ish elements (choice & consequence, branching story paths, picking perks when you "level up"), it certainly gives you a good challenge and features permadeath in the highest difficulty. Great writing and atmosphere too!

Agreed... gotta know what you like.

Here's my GoG Mix. I'd say RingRunner, Tyrian, Clarc, and a few others.

Alternatively i have a bunch of reviews, a lot of them games sold here.

I have not played a hack'n'slash for something like 4 or 5 years, I was pretty sure I'm done with the genre. I fired up Van Helsing recently just because I'm trying to burn though my backlog, and I ended up enjoying it immensly. Except maybe for the tower defense part, and the fact it could use a bit more colorful environments. Still, it's nice to sort of rediscover the genre. I guess I just need a long break from it.
