Do we really need to get something out of making a charitable donation? It kinda undermines it a little & gives the illusion of doing something good when your primary reason is personal gain.

If your goal is to donate, it's not hard to find charities. Here's a good starting point -

Yahoo News has a page of fifteen charities that have been verified to be operating in Ukraine at the moment:

I bought that Bundle, two of they keys provided were GOG games

It's amazing what turns into a trend and what doesn't. #StandWithUkraine is just another movement for sheep to feel better about themselves. Why not put that money to something that you know will actually be put to good use.

I think this tiny store that failed to turn a profit has already done plenty.

We already had a 100% charity collection when 11 Bit Studios and others decided to donate profits to the Ukrainian Red Cross or other charities, and GOG did the same with their share.

Both the itch.io bundle and the Humble Bundle... bundle are highly discounted, considering the base price of the games. Directly donating to charity wouldn't net OP a mountain of games on the cheap.

I think GOG has already done way more harm than good to itself by meddling in Ukraine/Russian politics in recent weeks.

More meddling would only make things even worse for GOG, and tick off even more of its already-angry customer base.

Oh I agree. In fact I don't understand how, after so many years off seeing the community idolizing trump and putin, GOG still manages to overestimate it.

I mean, in this very thread, the OP about "a 100% donation bundle" is immediately answered by an accusation of "cashing in". That's the level to expect. It would be safer for GOG to make a charity bundle to fund more russian missiles and a golden putin statue.

I'd say the combination of getting lots of stuff on the cheap, while also helping a worthy cause, is one heck of an incentive. It's basically letting me be greedy and virtuous simultaniously, giving my brain an overload of pleasure chemicals.

This method seem to work pretty well. The itch bundle raised $6,370,557. Isn't that what matters most here?

If the 45th was still in the office, all of this would have never happened. Guy wanted better relationships and foreign policy affairs with Russia, not poke them in the eye right underneath their nose, by (ab)using a foreign country through selling alliance and fake promises, at that. Too bad Assange is in jail, a new job on Hunter's scandals there would be extremely enlightening. By the way, what's your opinion on A3OB? Any knowledge whatsoever? Perfection. Hey don't sweat it though, everybody who speaks the truth, usually ends up in jail.
