... so imagine my surprise when I was greeted with "You can now make purchases in your local currency. Switch to CHF here." when I logged in. :-)

I guess your IP database needs an update.

Is anyone else currently detected in the wrong country?

All I can say at this point is that this is being looked into, no ETA on a fix at the moment.
