Gog still has games that have DRM. Just look at some of the threads on this forum.
Steam still has games that do not have DRM.

Steam has a refund feature that rivals even Gog.

Steam has games that don't require you to actually have steam running.

Gog has games that still require you to log into authentication servers. Look on the forums.

Gog has great sales, steam .. well steam used to have some great sales. Have to look harder for them now, but they are still there.

Some steam games aren't optimized for modern systems at all.

There are people who are going to argue and debate these, and yes, these are just generalizations.
On the whole gog is pretty good as a non-DRM platform.
Steam is also pretty good at what it does.
Are either of them perfect?
No.
But you'll STILL have people saying one is this and the other is that.
