mrkgnao: It was a bit before your time. Here is the famous post: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/my_account_big_changes_on_the_horizon/post1.

Toward its very end, it says: " -- Manual sorting is no more. We have decided to skip this functionality because it was beyond our reach to deliver the quality we wanted to. We decided it would be better if we were focused on the numerous other options requested by you. "

As far as I understand it, for all other things mentioned in that post (e.g. Chat, Mobile Device Support) they did manage to deliver the quality they were aiming for.
Thanks for the info. :-)

That image makes no sense. If it were bearing the weight (haha) like the image depicts, the forum would still be running/being maintained, but, if theimage/message is supposed to mean the traffic became too much and usage was temporarily knocked out, then the bear should be on its ass/crushed under the weight and working to get back up/restore its support, etc.

Maybe it was the last that was seen of him.
Everytime you see this picture, a new GoGbear gets the job.
- inability to find all forum posts no matter how old they are

- missing real-time chat - i mean chat room, not just pms feature

- little old games re-releasing at all

- for example - not releasing amiga-only games /like black crypt/ featured with emulator plug-in (instead of dosbox plug-in)

- missing published plan of releases for each actual year, rough at least

Yeah, it would make more sense to turn it into a gif or similar of the bear's knees weakening and giving out. Then the world crushing the bear with a little red pool slowly oozing out from below the Earth.

Agree 100% - Piss-poor search capabilities on forum.

Also, not updating games with patches issued by developer.

No mobile version of the website which means gog.com is unusable on smarthphones.
Rejecting objectively high quality games is about the biggest sin GOG is guilty of.
GOG GALAXY having 3 different Galaxyclient Helper Application (32 bit)

I guess we'll have to get JMich back here again with his statistics on classic game releases on GOG...

i read it already. its possible you see it different. at least, it was just one point of my list, so comment the others too. the one is too subjective to discuss over..
