Couldn't find a post about this, am wondering if we will ever see Dead Island + Riptide (original or definitive) here. Seeing as we have Dying Light here, and DI is mostly the same game, I wonder why it never made it here.
Wishlist entries at (and I note not many votes):

Because we already have Dying Light here, and DI is mostly the same game. >flies away<
I voted for both games long before Dying Light has been released on GOG. Still Dead Island will be a purchase, if it will ever be added to the GOG's catalog.

I don't know if Dying Light is better than Dead Island, but it has much higher requirements, which many of us with older systems don't meet.

Even if the Dead Island games end up arriving here, they will most likely be the new versions (which have the same requirements as Dying Light), as Deep Silver has removed the older versions from sale.

Haha, yeah those games really aren't 'mostly the same' at all in my opinion :)

Different publishers.

There are a fair few similarities I grant you. Dying light character control seems to be far more advanced with the parkour movements, and the driving in the following is much easier. But with dl you only have the one character and set of skills, di you have a selection with thier own differences, and because its harder to run away the combat is much more intense. So they have thier own qualities.

I didn't even know that updated versions existed.

Looks like the Metro games situation. I would have bought the older versions, if they were available or even the redux versions, if the older ones were included in the extras. I wonder, do publishers understand that by removing the old versions they loose customers?

Anyway, I'm not going to buy a new PC any time soon. So I have to stay with the old XBOX 360 version of the game, which I already own. :-(

Havent played DI, but using a shotgun in DL is next to suicide; the only thing more sucidal would be using it at night! oO

(I've unlocked only the second part of the city yet; driving & outside in the wild stuff are still stuff I only heard about. Yeah, I'm a slow player; and god that game is surprisingly big :D ).

Ah, no. I was going with his post part of >flies away< in terms of grouse shooting, nothing to do with the games.

Ha, I have been through twice, its pretty good game, the story is naff though. Best part about it is running around at night trying not to get killed. Anything which causes a loud noise, and then to cak your pants as you run for it is fun.
Try the I Am Legion mod, as that makes the game a bit more difficult.

Ah, ok. I thought about that one experiment of how successful a shotgun at night is againts the nasty night terrors. Very successfull... once... only once :D (except close to save zones but who does that :P ).

I'm more the sightseer/exploration player. I need a golden middle in difficulty. Extreme difficulties drive me to other games.
I'm pretty sure that Dead Island series will have gog releases.
I'll buy and play 'em afterwards
I think they were also leaked by SPCM

Yeah, it's the same developer as Dying Light by the looks of it (Techland), but a different publisher (Deep Silver), however Deep Silver is very GOG friendly and we have many of their titles here already so it would seem entirely within the realm of reason. I imagine it would take some time for Steam de-integration and Galaxy integration but I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen based on the info we do know at least.
Yeah, I have all the Dead Island games on that other front end game provider, and they are similar but not the same. DI can get really intense. Its a great game.
